***Official*** 4th Test at the MCG

To be fair, the last couple of times I've been to Edgbaston the food has been pretty reasonable and Lords' Fish & Chips were surprisingly good albeit not cheap (which was I suppose made up for by being able to take some drink in with us and save paying through the nose for that as well).

    Road to the 2019 CWC

The whole idea about the all plays all is it replicates the format of 1992 that was universally regarded as the best of any World Cup.

Mistakes in selection on this tour by England

There's a difference between one a spell and one an over though.

I don't think the trade off of having the 4 quicks and a spinner is worth having a relatively long tail. Philander at 7 is weak, he's a much lesser batsman then pretty much any other regular Test number 7. Personally I think he would be classed as an "average" number 8, not even one of the best...

For me Sterling has always been a much better bet for the national side. Hopefully Southgate will recognise that Alli isn't deserving of a spot in the squad, but I'll settle for him not being an automatic starter (although I can't see that happening). I'd actually even prefer Lingard to him now.

Mistakes in selection on this tour by England

He did not perform admirably, he bowled his usual quota of four balls and proved incapable of maintaining control, much like his entire career in red ball cricket. It's amazing how players improve when not in the team.

If England bat for 2 and a half sessions they'll get approximately 100 runs ahead. Does that really make Australia favourites?

Mistakes in selection on this tour by England

**** off was he not the best available spinner when the squad was selected. He's not bowled well but in all honesty, he was ever likely to. You cannot drop him for an untested spinner at the start of the series (such as Leach that you seem to be suggesting) and as soon as you pick a back up...

News flash, the back ups in the squad aren't any better then the selected eleven. In addition, there's no players not in the squad who would make much or any of a difference

    Tail of the Year-2017(Tests)

Pull the other one. Jadeja is 10 times the batsman Herseth is and both Cummins and Broad are better than him.

Mistakes in selection on this tour by England

Rashid - proven not up to Tests. Plunkett - doesn't have stamina for red ball cricket. Porter - injured. Glad you're not a selector.

Yes, by this point you'd clearly lost the plot. If a bloke with 30 wickets at 21.30 in the last summer isn't a front line spinner then you're clearly talking out of your arse. I can only assume you reside in the North East, Durham maybe?

Best make sure you refrain from making tIll-informed comments as well then although watching hasn't stopped that in the past I guess.

Nope, he's had lots of previous stances that are undoubtedly wrong...

***Official*** 3rd Test at the WACA

Yes the games were removed, therefore if you change the system again (and how do you play 16 games in an 8 team division without "buggering it up"?) then you would be adding games - is taht difficult to comprehend? What is actually needed is fewer games if you want to properly develop extreme...

Christ, if you really think Moeen Ali is "next to useless" then you're more clueless then I thought.

    ***Official*** English Football Season 2017/18

My brother was at the game and talking to fans after the game who wanted to stick with him as there's nobody else they can think of to replace him. Personally I don't want him to go until at the least the FA Cup 3rd round.

I know that, but please don't give him credit, he's an arse.

***Official*** 3rd Test at the WACA

Oh I certainly agree about Crane, his call-up was a total and utter farcical selection but equally Rashid isn't the answer. Have to face the fact that we don't have a spinner worthy of the name so Moeen Ali is the one we have to pick.

Until 2020 when the whole thing goes bust. As for adding first class games, how is that going to help produce genuine quick bowlers? They literally can't bowl 90mph for the amount of games that are scheduled so they don't even try.
