Greatest ODI XI (But only one player from one country allowed)

If you want Flintoff in any ODI role it has to be as a top 5 batsman or his effectiveness is pretty much nil.

*Official* Women's Football World Cup 2019 thread

It might have stopped the spitting and violence a bit? FIFA have now said the referee’s performance was good and she got the VAR calls right. However they’ve also said they could take retrospective punishment against all 3 potential red cards...

    28th Match - India v Afghanistan

There’s no one size fits all way to approach a chase. You make it sound as if hitting Bumrah and Shami around is easy.

    27th Match - England v Sri Lanka

2 of the 3 learned all their cricket in England. The 3rd one has only ever had one passport, a British one (and incidentally only started to persue the idea of playing in England when his own country didn't pick him for their U19s - suggests he must've picked up a fair bit of his cricketing...

    Definitely deserves its own thread

The scariest thing there is that that extras total is only the 3rd worst.

    The English Summer of 2019

They’ve redeveloped that part of the ground and from what I remember of it, it was such a massive bit of kit that it required too large a gap to get through onto the playing surface so it’s presumably been scrapped.

More likely to than at the Ricoh but that’s purely because I can get there by train but would have to drive to the Ricoh.

Definitely used to have the Brumbrella at Edgbaston.

    South Africa team selection

Top bloke as well. Never seen an international cricketer take time out from a tight finish to sign a punter’s shoe.

25th Match - New Zealand v South Africa

Only for something like 4.5 of the last 6 days. According to the groundsman there’s been 30 hours without rain since last Thursday

25th Match - New Zealand v South Africa

En route to the ground. Grey overhead so could be a bowling day.

    Road to the 2019 Ashes

Either Curran is for me a way behind the other 3. Much as I don’t rate him I think Wood is in that list to pick 2 from as well.

    23th Match - West Indies v Bangladesh

You say this but since 2012 the fact is that they’ve won 3 whole series, against Bangladesh, Ireland and Zimbabwe. How is that proving any real talent?
