Battle of Cricketers - CW's Favorite Cricketer

While his bowling is frustrating all too often, not least because we've seen how good it is when he gets it right, you can never fault his effort either, which counts for a lot in my books wrt fast bowlers.

    Where Next For Kevin Pietersen?

I do like KP. And Ross Taylor. But not Ian Bell. So there.

Battle of Cricketers - CW's Favorite Cricketer

Lee. I know there are haters, and yes his celebrations for dismissing tail-enders are a bit toolish, but they're really a pretty small blemish on a great bloke and a highly entertaining bowler to watch.

Just Joe and Brumby to go in this round now.

Bill O'Reilly for me. With Murali and Warne gone, he's IMO undisputably the best spinner left in the entire draft. Team so far: Jayawardene Kapil Dev O'Reilly Donald

    Where Next For Kevin Pietersen?

Yeah, I'm not saying that GFLs is a loon or anything ;), but I do think calling some of the decks that have been produced in the UK in the period KP's been playing as seaming is stretching it.

    Where Next For Kevin Pietersen?

Seaming English decks like Cardiff, Lords, The Oval?? Maybe "the poorer team", which incidently has beaten Australia in 2 of the last 3 series played between the two, is partially a consequence of KP not being as good as Clarke?

    Not quite...

    Where Next For Kevin Pietersen?

Clarke's scorecards for: Bangalore 04 (151). Gilly scored with him, but came in at 4-149, hardly dominating. Nagpur 04. Came in at a respectable 4-238, but was last man out at 398. Ponied up again in the second innings. Brisbane 04. Came in at 4-128 and produced a brilliant ton on debut...

So Australia weren't in trouble in Adelaide, that's what you're saying?

    Garry Sobers vs Brian Lara?

Nah. Would be interested for a more detailed explanation of that, because that's simply inaccurate from what I understand. That said, maybe my understanding is incorrect, so am interested to get a fuller rationale for those claims.

    The no stats thread

Love that a guy from Lancs is trying to argue with an Aussie who in a rare moment of magnamity tried acknowledge a Kiwi achievement! :)

I reckon you'll be fine, given that we've agreed on a 12 hour time frame and there are still three people due to pick before you! :)
