Player Ratings - As We Go By....

It's a joke to give Khawaja a zero or a token 2/10. Root's second innings 180 was entirely inconsequential to the result as well but I don't see anyone marking him down for it... If anything Khawaja faced the hardest batting conditions of the test and got 50. It's gotta be worth something.

I take it from the last few pages of bickering that there isn't much happening out on the field...?

    *Official* Second Test at Lord's

Just read Kimber's article on cricinfo, and was curious about this : Now even if, as Darren Lehmann has said, Chris Rogers told Watson to review it - that may have happened, even if it didn't look like it when watching the incident happen - none of this changes the fact that Watson clearly...

    *Official* Second Test at Lord's

There is something seriously wrong with this Australian side... just seen the highlights of the day, if that's the right word,,, the DRS misuse obviously stands out, as well as some awful shots, but what the hell was Haddin doing? (Almost) a hero last week, but two catches just watched, and...

    *Official* Second Test at Lord's

Honestly thought that if Australia could see off Anderson, England would be in trouble... Australia to get through this series and start the next one with a completely different top 6 (bar Clarke). Maddinson, Warner, Bailey, Voges, Clarke, Hussey D....

    *Official* Second Test at Lord's

As a non-aussie, I cannot get my head around how they got rid of Katich, to replace him with this bunch of useless tossers....

    *Official* Second Test at Lord's

Down in Africa, Warner has just had his second failure. Big chance for Khawaja to cement a spot when he gets in....

Player Ratings - As We Go By....

Watson - 6 : gets a couple of bonus points for bowling really really well. Batting is infuriating, but averaging 30 in a fairly low-scoring game isn't awful. Rogers - 6 : very promising. Looked pretty untroubled, unlucky to be given in the first, will be very annoyed by the second innings...

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Vaughan on TMS just made a comment that I liked (a fairly rare event) - Agar has to get a hundred this innings because he won't get any other chances to score a hundred from number 11...

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

I'm guessing that if I'd just put $10 on a trifecta of Hughes, Smith and Agar to be the top three scorers in the innings, I could just about retire...
