    Greatest XI for your County/State

Serious oversights. They could replace Edwards and Inverarity. I must confess, I relied heavily on my 50th Anniversary (1947-1997) album of collector cards. As a result, the obvious selection of Gilchrist was the only more recent pick.

    Greatest XI for your County/State

Western Australia didn't play Shield Cricket until 1947 but this line-up isn't too bad. Bob Simpson Justin Langer Ross Edwards Kim Hughes Damien Martyn John Inverarity Adam Gilchrist Bruce Yardley Dennis Lillee Graham McKenzie Terry Alderman Unlucky: Geoff Marsh, Rod Marsh, Tom Moody, Cam...

Who after a full career remains the worst tailender you have seen?

Bill Bowes would be a candidate (although I didn't see him play, I saw cartoons by Roy Ulyett depicting him.) He took more FC wickets (1639) than he scored runs (1531). The same applied to Tests (68 wickets and 28 runs).

    Mundane sightings of high-profile cricketers

I gather you are referring to Lock. This was after his FC career and after he had modified his action. All looked fine.

    Hashim Amla vs Clive Lloyd

Clive Lloyd's captaincy makes him a far more valuable player.

Monty Noble vs Ted Dexter vs Trevor Goddard

While Dexter was only a part-time bowler (but a more than useful one), his batting stands him in good stead.

    Mundane sightings of high-profile cricketers

Although not "mundane sightings", I've played with Bob Massie, against Tony Lock and umpired Robin Smith. The latter bought me a beer after the game.

I had plenty of luck in Q1 but I've slipped back since then.

    All-time Australia XIs - A re-run

Laird and, to a lesser extent, Wood performed well in series against the might of the West Indies in the 70s and early 80s. On that basis I would rate them more highly than some of the opening combinations picked before them.

He is as reliable as Bashir. Stokes in for Bashir could be a viable option.
