Is Mrs Molehill from the North or South Island? Either way, she's already made the decision.

So in the series just completed, Gill made >700’runs, Siraj took >20 wickets, Brook took 11 catches and England won 5 tosses. In 1966, WI toured England. Gary Sobers made >700 runs, took 20 wickets, 10 catches and won all 5 tosses. Decent all round series tstl.

Oh, whacko eh?? I know it’s good to manage expectations, but come on.

Won’t make a hundred. Couple of 50s. He’s in career best form so if hes ever going to make runs here it’ll be this tour. The decks here are pretty tough these days though, and our guys have had his measure out here for a decade. Hopefully he goes cheap a couple of times early in the tour and...

Archer is crucial if England are going to do the almost unprecedented and win a test. if he can string together three matches at something near his best with some solid support from the other bowlers then England are a chance. I know Wood bowled serviceable here last time but he’s 4 years...

Man, no luck for young Tuiavti. MCL and out for the year. Kid is a real prospect and the back end of the season was a good chance to get some NRL level games into him ahead of next year. He’s not long back from injury as it is

Sorry mods, have been pretty busy at work the past few weeks. Will send through the pre-emptive Ashes ban list asap.

Not a bad side. Save maybe the D/N test I really think the conditions here necessitate a spinner. Especially if Stokes can bowl. Five right arm seam bowlers is pretty ridiculous at the best of times. Root bowls part timers more than decently, but it's another thing to have to operate as the...

Imagine being POTS and they give you English sparkling wine. What a horrible let down. You’d want to finish second if it meant you didn’t have to drink it. It’s cat’s piss.

Like this should 1,000,000% not be the case at test level. If people coach their kids correctly, properly humiliate and verbally abuse them when they do those things in under 10s, the lessons are learned early and remain with the players.

That’s Siraj’s benchmark performance now. It’s how he should be expected to bowl all the time. Not that he’ll always get those results, but that quality of effort (he always puts in) and of output (not always consistent thus far) should be his standard.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

India has developed some proper resolve in its cricket. Started under Kohli and Shastri. They keep coming at you even when they’re down on troops and matches or series seem lost. I think that’s what made the home loss to NZ so weird - they just rolled over, and for the last 8-10 years that’s...
