It's 50 now. Last year the Warriors were treating him as the third seamer while keeping him pumped on painkillers to get him through matches. Daft thing to do with a talented kid. Hopefully we'll see better things from him next season. Hilfy will have to bowl like McGrath in the next...

Why Smith? What has he done at international level in any format that would have you place him as one of the top 10 batsmen in Aus? Anyway, Ben Hilfenhaus and Peter Siddle are hanging in there again, waiting for the tail to arrive so they can BLOW THEM AWAY. Before then they'll have to depend...

Harsh, these players probably got sucked in by Harry Potter when they were still kids.

Australia - the aftermath of the Ashes

This is Johnson, I'm not sure he'd know how to find the bathroom in his own home without Jess pointing it out.

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

That's what I suspect, that he is intent on a ton before declaration. I don't really blame him, but a win would look more impressive than a 'look I got a ton... oh, and a draw'.

Paine is going to have to declare soonish if he wants to win.

Australia - the aftermath of the Ashes

I can't see that it is going to do anything, unless it restructures CA.. As for the actual test team and it's performance, what can it affect now? All the coaching positions now seem to be sorted, the evil Kat's gone, the appalling Young's gone, Cooley has started his job at the Academy...

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

This A side - in theory - is very strong. The development players are Marsh, Warner and Copeland. Marsh is the only WTF pick, but he performed very creditably in the one dayers so it isn't a bad idea to have him in the starting line-up especially as they have a long tail and should expect...

Smith doesn't just play ugly shots, he plays disturbing shots. So many of his get out shots are with - as far as I can tell - his head going backwards while plonking his foot just straight down the pitch and trying to drive with the bat miles away from his body. I have no idea how he's managed...

I know, it kind of downgrades these runs in some ways as this is nowhere near their strongest team. On a Zim forum, some of the posters were suggesting that they were using Aus A as a shootout for the second and third seamers' positions for the tests coming up against Bangladesh.

Who is the best allround fielder ever?

Yep, Symonds for me in the last 15 years and Harper before that. I had to toss up between Harper and Symonds and Harper won.:)

A very long tail hasn't been an issue for them this tour and they are 60 runs ahead already.

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

Siddle is probably our best bowler against the tail. There goes Chatara. Now Hilfy gets one.

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

Ben Hilfenhaus and Peter Siddle have a fair bit of experience now. How do you know they are just not making the batsmen play? And Sids gets a wicket.

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

Surely it wouldn't be a proper first class match if it was limited overs? And it is affecting what happens with the live averages.

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

Or maybe in their usual manner, our bowlers aren't making batsmen play.

Brad Haddin's whining about being dropped from the T20 team paid off. His stats are very ordinary in that format, what is the deal with putting him back in that team? I don't understand why senior players get what they want regardless.

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

I've only seen him in parts of the Sydney test and it's not easy to tell what a bowler is like from one match. He's a lot more accurate than Krejza, but that's not saying a great deal. I know a lot of people are dead against him, but I can't see what giving him one match and ditching him will...

    Most Intelligent Cricketer

That's what I'm desperately hoping about Clarke, considering I think he's a bit of a half-wit who just parrots the latest PR guff. I'm on a hiding to nothing though, I know that.

    Zimbabwe 'A' v Australia 'A' v South Africa 'A'

On the first day of the 2 day warm-up game vs a Zimbabwe 11 at Kwekwe Aus 427/4 dec. Warner and Ferguson scored tons.
