    Who to replace Kevin Pietersen

I understand a call has been put in to South Africa to see who else is for hire.

    ***Official*** Commonwealth Bank Tri-Series

Possibly but at least they played within their competence. They gave it a crack in their innings and IMO showed more urgency batting than they did in the recent Twenty/20 game. They came close to being bowled out but survived. Then when their turn came to bowl they fielded well* although their...

    ***Official*** Commonwealth Bank Tri-Series

I can't believe you even write with a NZ accent.

    WANTED: One English wicket-keeper

As Australians we can afford to proud but I don't think being this condescending helps anybody. The sporting world is full of highly talented players whose circumstances have kept them playing well out of the limelight and who shine briefly at the top level late in their career. They want the...

Well she's asleep at the moment but when she wakes up I'll get her to call you.

    Twenty20 not Ponting's game

Also plays one of the Pirates in Pirates of the Carribean, the one with the fake eye that keeps popping out.

Out of 10 - The Player Performances

Must be an English thing, isn't that how Collingwood got his MBE?

Out of 10 - The Player Performances

Wonderful stuff! Are you sure you aren't Australian?

    Twenty20 not Ponting's game

I enjoyed it and have no trouble appreciating it as a game allied to Test and One Day cricket. What better practice could you have for the situation Australia found itself in for the second innings of the recent Adelaide Test? Twenty/20 amplifies the need for superb batting and bowling skills...

    Why do Aussies hate murili?

No, largely because the more I say the more I am likely to reveal my ignorance. There's no direct improvement in coordination or reaction that I know of although a user of anabolic steroids can apparently experience a hyped up 'Red Bull' sort of feeling of well being which they might mistake for...

    Why do Aussies hate murili?

There are many different types of steroids, which by the way are simply chemical messengers. Those relevant to sport are anabolic steroids and corticosteroids. Anabolic steroids enable you to build up muscle mass beyond normally achievable levels so athletes in power sports like athletics...

    Ashes sub-forum - a success?

Although I'm new here I'd say it has worked well.

    WANTED: One English wicket-keeper

Well fair enough but it's an absolutely crucial fielding position just the same and you don't stick just anyone there.

    WANTED: One English wicket-keeper

And just what do you think a wicket keeper is then?

    Ashes Commentary

I don't know about a thread of its own yet, probably a little too soon for the English fans. But what is said in the article had to be said sometime and buried here is a kinder way of putting it out for a wider view. No-one who saw it live or live on TV really believes what they saw. Here in...

How would the other teams have done?

Harsh. Symonds is there and thereabouts and developing well as a One Dayer. His taste for the dramatic shot is his problem.

How would the other teams have done?

No-one can know. On paper Australia weren't a 5-0 better side than England and that's the only way to judge the other teams - on paper. Having said that I'd have tipped South Africa, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka to win or at least draw at 550 declared in the 1st innings.

    Man of the Series?

IMO the selection panel got it right. Clark for the test, Punter for the series

    Who is for the chop?

Because if the tail doesn't wag the team can only go so far. It was the most significant difference between England and Australia this Ashes series. BTW sorry about listing Read at #6 rather than #7 And Matteh it was Pannesar's batting I was knocking. I hope it improves.
