    With the WC approaching I wouldn't actually mind seeing Latham at 4, Phillips at 5 and Mitchell at 6. Phillips speed through the middle overs could be desirable and pretty sure he bats 4/5 for Auckland (now Otago) right?

    Just finished work early to go to Hagley - been fine all morning and soon as I walk out the door it starts spitting. Minimal at the moment but if it gets any heavier I can't see the game starting. Might just wait till the coverage starts and then reassess!

    I blame Kane tbh, too often he leaves too much for Neesham to do and also by the nature of his role, he's going to fail more than he succeeds. But yeah, he's having a pretty bad run lately. Seems to turn it on for big games though, 2021 WC SF and his 26* off 13 against Australia last month.

    I know there were a couple of stoppages but the fact that innings took 1 hour and 52 minutes and yet India was ahead of the over rate both times they showed it on screen seemed scarcely believable.
