    Eye Specialists in cricket

Clive Woodward used a 'visual awareness' coach for English Rugby. Some football clubs use eye specialists (there is a theory that players coming back from lengthy injury layoffs have inferior peripheral vision. Does anyone know if cricket teams use eye/vision specialists? If so, what do they do?

    Lillee vs Holding

    42. Right up there but still behind. Good thing he didn't play much in Asia, he'd have been completely ****ed.

    Lillee vs Holding

One interesting thing in Lillee's stats is the amount he bowled per Test. If my sums are correct he averaged 44 overs per match. A quick look at other great quicks shows they generally bowled 10-20% less per test. Even McGrath, who used to put in phenomenal shifts, is around 40. I know many...

Greatest Wicket Keepers of the Game

Taylor was incredibly fluid in both his hand and body movement and the ball did indeed look like it 'melted' into his gloves. Purists thus liked to talk about him being superior to Knott. But Knott didn't miss a thing and could be spectacularly athletic as well. He was also of an era of standing...

    Imran Khan vs Keith Miller

I think it's because of 'I'm a Celebrity...' and his close physical resemblance to Fatima Whitbread.

These three tests vs South Africa...

In responding to an article criticising the scheduling of Tests Giles Clarke has written a quite dreadful reply. Self-justifying, evasive, hypocritical, it is hard to know where to start with it. Test cricket will only thrive if matches remain enthralling - Telegraph The good news is that the...

    Commentating Standard thread

Belatedly watching the DVD set from the last Ashes which uses the Australian coverage. Most of the commentators so far are like the cricketing equivalent of the fanzone on SKY's football coverage. As if they've picked up a couple of pissed up fat blokes form the nearest bar and asked them to...

    Butt/Amir/Asif - Spot Fixing Trial

Been wondering how they went about lodging their appeal. Did they stand in the dock at the first trial and, as the verdicts were read out, raise their arms into a large 'T' shape? One thing that struck me about the judge's comments at the appeal (and I remember something similar from the...

Thigh injury ends Martin Crowe's comeback

Does anyone know what the injury was that Crowe was carrying at the end of his Test career. Remember him being fairly crocked on his last visit to England (even some sort of leg support) - yet still managed to look a class apart as he gave a few batting masterclasses.

    *Official* West Indies in India

I half expected a bit of a collapse after those 2 quick wickets so credit for Windies for hanging in and building their lead. Reckon they need someone to score a Daddy hundred.

Why is Lillee rated above Imran?

God, no. Genuinely interested in what you had to say. (insert definitely not sarcastic smiley here :)) And yes, I can see I am basing something on people who access the internet. So Premiership football doesn't have the broad appeal that it does in, say, the Far East? Glad to hear it if true tbh.

Why is Lillee rated above Imran?

What a fascinating post. Does the need for instant gratification only extend to Indian successes or does it also explain the strong passion for sports that they don't participate in or have a cultural link to - European football, F1 etc?

Does anyone go on other sites where they can post the link? I've done a few but not specific cricket sites.

    ***Official*** Australia in South Africa

Still though,l that record doesn't seem to reflect the individual records of the players. Anyone know how on cricinfo do you see a country's record series by series?
