    *Official* Australia in England

Anyone else trying to listen on 5 live sports extra, online, and getting "not available due to rights restrictions"?

Why doesn't FIFA do something about diving/players abusing referees?

A straight red is pretty harsh for a dive.. Given that its something that isn't often obvious.. If you arent going to use technology at all, then you shouldn't be waving red cards around unless you are massively sure about whats gone on.. Has the intimidation of a referee ever led to him...

Is it ok to boo your own team?

Yeah true.. Although the amount of support for the USA has been excessive I've found.. For a country that many consider it fine to hate, they have picked up a lot of fans since SA's exit

Is it ok to boo your own team?

If I had forked out a lot of money to see either England in the early stages, or France play like they did, they'd be getting a boo-ing from me.. Completely justified..

    Your favourite "random" team

Chile Without the best fans we have had visit South Africa.. Of course there are nice people everywhere, but I've never seen such a massive group of people as a collective be such good ambassadors for their country.. Didn't think I would be holidaying in Santiago this summer, not to mention...

*Official* Zimbabwe Tri-Series (Zimbabwe, India, Sri Lanka)

No, but say you are looking for prodigies, Warnes etc that crop up once every generation and are destined to become superstars at a certain sport, then its strange how the population of a country has no bearing on how many appear. Look at Barbados and the number of "special" cricketers that have...

*Official* Zimbabwe Tri-Series (Zimbabwe, India, Sri Lanka)

About 11 Million at the turn of the century, we've got a couple of million here now though.. The numbers playing the game there are high though, which is encouraging.. But yeah, it always amazes me how countries like India can still not win so many competitions despite having such an advantage...

*Official* Zimbabwe Tri-Series (Zimbabwe, India, Sri Lanka)

Taylor is so good.. Fantastic to see from Zim.. I know they are playing weakened sides, but you also look at the fact that there are less than 10 million people in Zimbabwe, and they basically lost all their players in the early part of the decade.. Great to see the fight is still there..

    *Official* Bangladesh in England

This I am starved of real cricket. I was looking forward to listening to the cricket from England for a day.. When finally the real cricket arrives, a bunch of muppets get off the plane.. When do some real opposition arrive?

The Big Red Thing They've Built at Old Trafford

The two worst things are the fact that it is red, and that it completely dwarves what should be the far more significant pavilion.. It's like when you see those churches in Manhattan that look completely stupid in amongst all the concrete and glass.. Hated the Lord's Media center at first, but...

*Official* Zimbabwe Tri-Series (Zimbabwe, India, Sri Lanka)

Taylor is so good.. Dead rubber/Friendly victories or not, Zimbabwe have had a mightily impressive year.. Even if they go on to lose this game and the final, they have definitely commanded the respect they are starting to deserve..

He doesn't move the ball in the air though, and until he does that I'd fancy my mother to bat a day against him.. In my day we had the likes of Bedser and "Fiery" Fred Trueman, and let me tell you, those men could bowl

    How Good is Tamim?

He's got a good tech-neek, but I don't like all these airy-fairy shots he plays.. I'd like to have seen him play in my day, on those ooncovered pee-ches.. Then we'll see if he can really bat

134/7 India.. Really hope another upset is on the cards

I've heard the Jamaican leg is in doubt because of the situation there regarding violence in Kingston.. Not good news.. I hope there is a relocation instead of an outright cancellation.. I'm dieing to see some test cricket :(

*Official* English Domestic Season Thread 2010

Fantastic to see.. Bowled at him in the nets when he was a 12 year old kid looking for a sports scholarship to my school.. Took me apart, was promptly awarded it :)

    English Ringers, mate!

Yep.. In cricket it also matters little what you consider yourself to be.. Everyone will have their own opinion.. Usually in KP's case it will be entirely dependant as to how many runs he scores, as to what country people insist he comes from..

    Smith blasts ex-players/selectors via Twitter

Yeah Amla isn't a first choice for mine.. He's very very quiet, but he is respected in the dressing room, and by others.. Perhaps a quieter influence is what SA need though.. What about AB?

    English Ringers, mate!

He is probably the most "English" of their imports.. The most likely to wear socks underneath sandles when on holiday.. Apart from his surname, I couldn't tell he was a Saffer when we played against him.. Mind you, I've been in SA longer than some of these imports and am still considered to be...

*Official* South Africa in West Indies

He is a popular player in SA, no doubt about that.. I personally think he is a buffet bowler and a very naive batsman.. Okay he had a good knock against the Kiwis, but lest we forget against England he was made to look like a complete turkey by Yardy of all people.. The more I think about him...
