    SBI Does Australia 2002

likewise with Ferd just wondering about some of your selections. At the start of the game Clarke and North are still nothing special. and Stuart Karpinnen?? wat the ****?? and not taking either of the Waugh's is quite an odd move and you've probably got a bowler to many. When i go to Pak i...

    Ferd's 1st Australian Story

just wondering the reasons behind some of your selections?? your in the first season so i can't understand why you never picked Justin Langer?? Matt Hayden got dropped after a few ordinary performances?? and Gilchrist likewise...... While you've bought guys in like Clarke, Richards, di Venuto...

    New Australia XI

I wouldn't agree with that , but what i do think is within the 26-30 age bracket the talent pool is not as enriched as what Australian cricket has been used to in recent times. There are some good players in there - Inness and Noffke are two bowlers who could do pretty well in the international...

    All Time Statistical XI

I think it's pretty clear that averages before WWI are much much lower than in any other period of the game. If you compared every other era in the game, performances are generally pretty similar with some eras more favouring bowlers and some more favouring batsmen. But the pre-WWI era...

    All Time Statistical XI

I don't get how Steve Waugh has ended up with 56........ Also, whenever i see people do all time XI's that are based on statistics i always think it is somewhat best to leave our guys who played before WWI. The batting and bowling averages are much lower than today which makes it very...

    England All Time XI

I'd have Sutcliffe in the team (either opening or batting at 3) with both Hobbs and Hutton. Bat Barrington and Hammond in the middle order. Knott the keepeer batting 8. Don't know whether you'd play Botham at 6 and have the extra bowler, or bat him at 8 and play 6 batsmen, allrounder, keeper, 3...

    David Hussey

Both will play test cricket for Australia (barring injury or major loss of form) - how much they play is dependant on how well they take their chance. I think Michael is 29 or 30. David is about 27. David must do this or something like it against next season before he becomes into...

    Best batsman on poor pitches.

In recent times, Gary Kirsten was great on fairly dodgy pitched. Mark Richardson over in Kiwiland has down superbly as well. Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar are good no matter you stick em on. Steve Waugh just because he's so dogged and tough and he'd just hang in there. A couple have...

    Field Settings....

cheers lads. the only time my own settings seem to work is in the last ten overs of a one dayer when i go very defensively. I had about four or five games in the one day series were i only conceeded one or two (sometimes none) boundaries in the final 10-12 overs of a match.

    Field Settings....

just wondering what types of fielding positions you guys use. Does it really matter?? i.e. if the computer decides the ball is going for four would it not matter were you've put your fielders... and do you guys use the default field positions or make your own up, and if you make your own up...

    Cricket in Nepal???

I know the cut off date for being an under 19 in the Australian system for this year was September 1, 1984 cause i was still forced to bowl with underagre restrictions cause i missed out by 5 days............but the good thing is a good an extra season in the under 21 competition (which is very...

    Paul Rofe

i'm a big rap for Inness too and upto this season (which has been plagued by injury/illness) he had been one of the best domestic bowlers in the country for 3-4 seasons. Got a very strange action, which is far from traditional, but at the end of the day if you've got the sort of numbers which...

    Paul Rofe

From Rofe's last three seasons, the only time he has had a down patch would be the first 2 months of last season. I'm almost certain he ended up averaging around 28-29 last season.......could be wrong though and don't have the time just now to check it up.

    World Cricket Manager

just wondering if there are any official web-sites given information about this game, such as what features it will have over other games in developement, how in depth the game goes, release date, cost. also just wondering how deep your database will go. I.e. obviousbly you will have all the...

    Paul Rofe

I really love watching the numbers this guy brings up, and whenever i get the chance to watch him bowl (when he plays at the SCG, highlights on news, or one day comp on tv) i take the opportunity. He will play for Australia, and i reckon he is the one guy who is capable of taking his good FC...

    Scott Brant

is Brant still injured?? he played most of last year with Queensland, but this year hasn't played hardly at all nor even in the second XI team. I was very impressed with him, but he could definetaly do with another yard or two of pace.

Andrew Symonds in contention for Test squad

Symonds has to wait in line. good performances from ODI games don't get you into the test team. Good performances in first class cricket get you into the test team. On that basis he's still behind Clarke, Hodge, Love, Husseys x 2 and Watson, and is probably about level with about 5 other...

Andrew Symonds in contention for Test squad

Symonds is a fair way back on the pecking order for the test team. but he does have the ability, just not the technique or temperemant to play test cricket. outside of the four certainties in australia batting - hayden, ponting, langer and gilchris. the main contendors for the other three...

    Richard

gilly today?? very rash shot after being tied down for a pretty short time...... i have two issues with that comment: 1) you said earlier that scoring pace doesn't matter. implying keeping your wicket does. so why now is economy a better thing the bowler than wickets?? 2) and if i had a...
