    Zak Crawley cricketing WUM

I have always defended Crawley as the attacking opener we need in the bazball era. I have full faith in this batting approach and I hope more Englishmen are won over by the style. When I opened the batting for Lboro Uni, I took the same approach but I was far before my time. T20 cricket hadn’t...

*Official* Fourth Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) 19-23 July

Two paced pitch now, may only need 2 sessions to bowl Oz out.

Ufff that stayed very low. Pretty good signs for England if they can get a 200 run lead.

How are Australia getting away with an over rate of 11? That’s intentionally taking time out of the game and unsporting.

Nice Crawley, well played lad. Now time to bring in an attacking batsman.

Australia are on the ropes already and look mentally shot. They look tired in the field yet have only been out there for 52 overs! Barely an ODI game.

Since when does Crawley have a forward defensive block in his repertoire? Oh okay followed up with a four, makes sense

You sound surprised. Having said that, this situation should be his bread and butter as a T20 specialist.

To be fair to Cummins he is being put under an awful lot of pressure. You don’t suddenly become a bad bowler overnight. Even supreme athletes have mental blocks.

I can’t help feeling this will be like the women’s Ashes. England the considerably better team overall but Oz manage to retain the urn through sheer luck.

Just imagine it’s a T20 now with a target of 220 after tea, then declare

Australia will be so demoralised by this passage of play that England could probably declare now and bowl them out for 100.

I would wager the 11 teams that won all played a spinner though.

    Moeen’s Finger Injury cure

It’s manuka honey and is a bit of a fad at the moment. My mum recently came out of a cast after breaking her wrist and her friend suggest she use it to help heal and ease the pain. Now she swears by it. Think it’s mostly psychological though.

How will this series measure up to Ashes 2005?

I stand corrected. 1936-37 Ashes sounds like it was a belter too!

How will this series measure up to Ashes 2005?

I think people have sort of missed the point of what makes a great cricket series. It’s not necessarily about who had the greatest players in which era etc. It’s more to do with thrilling and exciting cricket that is played by the cricketers that each nation puts up at the time. The 2023 England...

Are Travis Head and Nathan Lyon the only two Aussies that would make it into the English side?

It very well might be counterproductive in the end but the England set up are looking for people who are willing to take the fight to the opposition no matter what. Head and Lyon have the strength of character to make it into the England team. While people like Khawaja and Smith are perfectively...

Are Travis Head and Nathan Lyon the only two Aussies that would make it into the English side?

It wasn’t intended to be a slight, I was mainly referring to the ethos of the Australian players. If they were English and doing the rounds in the County circuit then most of them would never be considered candidates to play for England with the brand they are looking for.
