    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Sharma must be hoping India stop shelving Bumrah every 2nd test or so he can then hurry the f..k up and break his 'Most Test Ducks Scored by an Indian Batsman' infamous record- 34 Bumrah has 28 after only 47 tests and Courtney Walsh should be quaking in boots by now... lol

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Which makes that now his 7th consecutive test innings where he's hit at least 1 six. Fast approaching 100 test sixes and he's only played 46 tests so far. Stokes better add quite a few to his record quick smart or Pant or Jaiswal will pass him in no time.

    Harry brook era

Agreed! Barring injury there is no way this time he's not going back home without at least 1 century to his name. He'll be desperate for that maiden ton in Australia & he knows it's his last chance to do so & people will keep on talking about it if he hasn't done it yet breaks Sachin's record...

Border went 4 years without a test ton before finally dragging himself across the line against the West Indies.

    The Records and Milestones thread

Given that Root is still keen on playing for a few years more & given England's regular tests they play he'll at least take that to 250 and then some. Only way Smith can surpass him and keep it if Root retires in the next 18 months or so and Smith keeps playing. Otherwise,Root is going to hold...

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

What a catch by Root to bring up the record of most catches now in tests & goes past Rahul Dravid.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Wicket maiden in your first over back from a 4 year hiatus. Not too shabby.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Great time for Carse to hit his highest score & also maiden fifty in a test match. Valuable runs for England.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

5 wickets for Bumrah and four of them have come the way of bowled.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Smith actually was on 5 when he was dropped by Rahul.... not that it makes any difference to your point. It's still costed India a fair bit in this test with an extra 80+ runs put on by this partnership.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Breaks clear of Smith again and leads the way with 37 centuries now. Will have at least 10 more centuries than Kohli finished with when he's done with test cricket. Not so many years ago he had around 17 test tons to his name...... Slaps on another 20 in quick time. Well played Root!

When was the last time somebody brought up their century on the first ball of the day?

*Official* South Africa Test Tour of Zimbabwe 2025

Lost in all this excitement that I noticed was never mentioned was that Mulder scored over 100 runs in back to back sessions. Day 1: Tea to close- 133 to 264 Day 2: Start of Day to Lunch- 264 to 367

Also 329 is further than 367... Whilst in the grand scheme of things it doesn't sound alot there was still 72 odd runs for Clarke to score... Even at a galloping rate he'd still have to go hard in the overs to ensue & that's all taking into equation the other batsman chewing up deliveries...
