*Official* New Zealand in Zimbabwe 2025 (Tests)

3 batsman in the same innings pass 150 in a test match. Can't remember the last time that happened. Williamson missing out not playing here & trying to bridge that century gap between himself & Smith.

    Mundane sightings of high-profile cricketers

I would've asked Walsh 2 questions if I bumped into him. 1.Was he absolutely gutted when Stuart Broad announced his retirement thus guaranteeing him holding that wonderful 'Most Test Ducks' record for at least another decade or so? 2.Why was it so hard for him to catch a cricket ball? LOL...

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

I think the rain really screwed England over thus bringing the 4th day to an early close. In turn they came back the next day to a 5th day pitch that was more responsive as usual this tour and the lower order couldn't handle it. I really think even after Root's dismissal and 6 down had the...

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Yeah.... but Joe Root might walk away with 1 century down under this time so it'll be a moral victory.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

England led 2-1 in the series with basically India needing 2 days to survive in the 4th test..... and they still managed to not take the series. They really dropped the ball.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Umbrella field in the shape of a circle from the wicket keeper to short mid on to square leg.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Keeper up at the stumps to stop the bye.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

A boundary from Atkinson really doesn't mean anything if he exposes Woakes to a full 6 ball over. Guy won't last 2/3,let alone 6.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Imagine if England won by a bye with Woakes lunging to the ground on his shoulder just beating the throw by inches..

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Atkinson really can't even rely on Woakes lasting 2 balls out there. Better off just trying to get a 4 or 6 every ball IMO.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

It looks like a 95% chance now that Woakes is pretty much having to come out.

    Mundane sightings of high-profile cricketers

Courtney Walsh has always has that expression of someone who's 1 part surprised,1 part shocked & 1 part disgusted... All the time. He looks like actor Charles Dutton from Aliens 3 in that pic.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

It depends if/when he goes. If it's with 15 runs or less they'll probably win regardless. If it's in the first few overs & they've barely troubled the scorers then possibly.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Brook clubbing 27 runs off the last 9 balls he's faced. With this partnership rapidly ticking along England can bat at 2.9 an over from here until the end of the day & have enough time to win it on Day 4. However, how long until Harry plays a 'one-too-many' type shot & they're staring down the...

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Any chance that England had of winning around 15 minutes or so ago has probably plummeted 50% by the way of a few Sundar strokes. 334 was needed when the 9th wicket went down. Now 372 and possibly more just sounds so much steeper.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Gets a pair in this match for his trouble. Atkinson gets robbed of the chance of another 10-fer with Tongue bagging that 9th wicket now.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

With that dismissal Nair's average drops to 41.35. If he gets selected again in the not too distant future and fails again he might join Andrew Sandham & Brendon McUllum as batsman who have struck triple hundreds yet only average in the 30's.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

The ball doesn't exactly tickle either when you standing back some 20-30 yards & it thuds into your mitts. However, when you're just 22 yards away.... yeah.. screw that.
