4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

If India lost the 4th test narrowly without him then there would've been predictable uproar about what was the point of saving him for the 5th test when the series is now over. Personally you'd want to play him when there's everything to play for.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Root on the cusp of smacking 12 centuries against India. Smith also has 12 as well against England.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Brook just trying to make sure he goes from Number 1 ranked batsman of recent times to now at least 3 ;)

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

104th occasion now Root has gone 50 or beyond in tests. Goes past Ponting & Kallis- 103. Only Tendulkar has more- 119.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Great chance for Pope as well as he too has scored against 8 different test playing nations but never Australia. I think Pope will be the first Englishman to join the list of batsmen who have done so too.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

With that boundary Root draws level with Dravid in career test runs. Took them both 286 innings to score as much. edit: Now draws level with Kallis and both scored 50 or more 103 times up until now.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Yeah, I know. In fact,he'll need to do well just to break Gavaskar's record for most runs by an Indian in a test series now. He's still a way off with only 3 digs to go max.

    Harry brook era

That's fair enough. You probably will be right & I'll say to 'Well played sir' you got it right again. I just got this massive feeling he's going to have this massive obsession with getting a ton FINALLY with his last chance he's got and he'll probably go into safe mode after he hits a half...

    Harry brook era

With Root scoring 104 & 40 & Brook failing with 11 & 23 I'm going to guess that the 18 point lead Brook had going into this test match will be reversed and now Root is on top. If not,it'll be by the barest of margins.

*Official* Australia Tour of West Indies 2025

5 wickets in 19 balls is incredible but beating that by 4 balls is even more mindblowing. Even if you take 3 wickets twice in 2 overs that takes 12 balls in total. It basically almost leaves no room for chance... A few dot balls or no wickets and you're screwed. Who knows just how long...

Quite simply that Konstas drop probably costed Starc an 8-for here. lol

*Official* Australia Tour of West Indies 2025

Oh well.... these things do happen. Australia, under Ricky Ponting and some great players were 9 for 21 against South Africa before they managed to double their total to 47 and Lyon top scored in the end whilst batting at Number 11.

*Official* Australia Tour of West Indies 2025

Less than 24 hours ago: Shamar Joseph: ''I actually think anything under 200,to 200 we definitely could chase that'' LOL!!! Wouldn't have even chased 60 under these circumstances.

*Official* Australia Tour of West Indies 2025

Wow! West Indies skittled for 27 .... 2nd lowest ever test team score. They nearly halved their previous worst total which was 47. 7 batsman ended up with ducks that innings.... Surely a record.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Gill gone... managed to go past Dravid's Indian record number of runs against England in a series - 602.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

If India persist with Nair for the rest of the series he'll most likely join Andrew Sandham & Brendon McUllum as having scored a triple century and only average in the 30's. Barely above 40 now.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

The thing is they don't have many runs to play with. He might get the 1 or 2 quick wickets but might go for plenty thus making it easier for India to consolidate.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Number 4 batsman right down to Number 11 batsman all bowled basically. 7 English batsman bowled in this innings.

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

Root is almost begging for a mercy kill at the moment.. lol

    3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

How many times has England had 4 byes come time & time again already in this short innings?
