**Official** Pakistan in Sri Lanka 2012

What rubbish! There might be a handful, but saying Sri Lankans flock to grounds to see Mahela and Sanga bat is an absolute crap statement.

**Official** Pakistan in Sri Lanka 2012

Mahela is not a left hander so the story ends there as far as Hafeez is concerned. Gul, Cheema etc might have other ideas. There's no rule stating that an all-rounder must bat in the middle order  Watson?

**Official** Pakistan in Sri Lanka 2012

Only one match was played between the two teams, and his figures of 10-0-47-4 suggest otherwise. Tracks were flat as BTW.

**Official** Pakistan in Sri Lanka 2012

Mahela's ever-persistent problems outside the off stump against the moving ball makes him too vulnerable at the top. Besides we need his experience in the middle order. I'm all for trying Mathews as an opener though, he's much better at handling pace and doesn't look all that comfy against...

**Official** Pakistan in Sri Lanka 2012

Mendis will surely be part of the T20 WC squad. But playing him against PAK and IND (or any top country for that matter) in ODIs/Tests is just asking for trouble.

**Official** Pakistan in Sri Lanka 2012

Should have had Tests first. No point in allowing visiting sides to get used to the conditions by providing some pajama cricket first up. Might not apply to PAK though for they're from the same part of the world.

**Official** West Indies in England 2012

Slightly evenly poised I'd say. Few quick wickets needed for Windies. And they could do well to get rid of those no balls.

Welegedera out, think that comes as a huge relief for ENG

**Official Comm Bank Series - Aus, Ind & SL ODI's***

yeah that point might be valid against india, maybe against PAK and BAN too, but what about SA, ENG and NZ? ZIM is an exception.

**Official Comm Bank Series - Aus, Ind & SL ODI's***

Not sure why, but Lee has never done well against SL, especially at home. His home stats v SL are like AVG 47+, ECON 5+ something. He's done well v India though, and continued that in the Gabba ODI. But yeah I expected more from Harris, can't really see why he's not up there. But he bowled...

Should India have withdrawn their appeal against Thirimanne?

Shouldn't have withdrawn the appeal, even without a prior warning.

**Official Comm Bank Series - Aus, Ind & SL ODI's***

Mathews just doesn't deserve to be in a mediocre team like this. What a waste of a talent. In the sense that he can be never in the right side of the result.

    Copycat bowling actions

Agree. Both Rubel and Fidel initially give us the impression that they're going to deliver with a slingy action and then bowl with a straightish arm. But even then their actions are pretty much different.

Is Tharanga the new Phil Hughes?

Tharanga basically invented edging and is the only player to continuously put that to practice in LO cricket. Hughes is just a mere follower.

**Official Comm Bank Series - Aus, Ind & SL ODI's***

Pathetic decision to go in with an all out pace attack. Trying to be too smart and paying the price. We didn't bat well, ended up probably 20-25 runs shorter. And with that imbalanced bowling attack we were never going to win. Hopefully they rethink their strategies for the next game. Sanga has...

Currently who is the best player of spin in Tests?

Hmmm you saying that based on what? I mean I don't have stats or anything to prove my point either, was just thinking of some of his knocks played in tricky conditions and circumstances...

    Ian Bell vs Thilan Samraweera

Art doesn't get you runs, art doesn't get you out of holes, art doesn't help you make comebacks after failures. All hail the grittiest player in recent years
  20. Nomanculture

Currently who is the best player of spin in Tests?

Can't use Sanga in that list unless you have Samaraweera and Jayawardene in it. Those two are the best players of spin in SL, with Samaraweera a touch ahead of Jayawardene.
