*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Another one gone from swinging outside the off-stump

Here we go now with Swann. Smith will enjoy it, however this will be a huge challenge for Hughes

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Going to be a long last session. Still 38 overs to bowl; Australia may need to bowl Agar a bit more, as they can't really afford for Clarke to get close to being suspended at any time during this series

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Danger here for England. Will need some handy runs from Broad and co. Good chance for Bairstow to stand up as well.

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Siddle again! On fire today. Didn't think I'd be saying that during his first spell!

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Poor shot there from Trott, quite uncharacteristic from him. Credit must go to Siddle though, he's bounced back incredibly well from his first spell.

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Not a bad first session and was good to pick up a couple of wickets. Definitely need to reduce the amount of boundaries being hit - way too many so far. I think the second session is going to be pretty important in setting up the test. Keep bowling bad balls and England could be 200/2 at tea...

Agar last over before lunch to Pietersen?

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Tough chance but Haddin needs to take those. Considering Wade was partly dropped because of his poor keeping, Haddin wouldn't want to miss too many

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Much better there from Siddle. I guess the change of end worked. Good captaincy from Clarke

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Need to cut down on the boundary balls; leaking too many runs

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Massive breakthrough there to get Cook

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Yeah, big question is whether the bowlers can put control the swing and actually bowl it in the right areas

which players will play their last test matches in the forthcoming ashes series

Yeah but I think the selectors will want to have Wade back in the side, and the fact that he's had a stint in the side already will benefit him. Again because of the poor batting talent currently in Australia, if Rogers has a good series, I think he may play for a little while longer...

which players will play their last test matches in the forthcoming ashes series

Definitely Haddin, at 35 can't see a long future for him. Harris a possibility if injuries get to him. I think Cowan will play again even if dropped just based on the dearth of players scoring runs at first class level.

Who's the one player that each side simply can't do without?

Yeah I'll go for Clarke and Anderson as well. If Clarke has a poor series, I just can't see Australia scoring close to enough runs to win. Anderson as the leader of the attack is crucial. His swing is going to trouble the Australian batsmen who struggle with the moving ball.

    Coverage in Australia

Yeah I think they are just going to use the Sky feed. However apparently they are going to have their own dribblers during the breaks. The Ashes Tour LIVE on GEM

    **Official** Big Bash League 2013/14

Good move I reckon. With now Ponting and Gilchrist; will be interesting to see who's next. Perhaps someone from Fox Sports?

    Arthur sacked

I think Cricket Australia think that they cannot possibly get any worse both off-field and on-field at the moment, so thought a change of coach might actually help. Darren Lehmann has apparently got these "old-school" values which may actually straighten the team out

**Official** Pakistan in Scotland and Ireland 2013

Awesome match! Hopefully Ireland can win the second match and continue proving that they deserve a promotion of some kind.
