whilst I can understand the concept of negotiation, the Counties and the ECB risk ending up with a something that nobody wants. Unless that is the idea for a year then next time around nobody could possibly be in favour of the status quo.Whatever option they force through it looks like it will be a mess.
I'm just surprised clubs let their members have a vote and a say.
As it stands I would be surprised. Each franchise only plays 4 "home" games in each of the competitions some of which, I believe are double headers, so it is a very limited number of cricket days out which could be passed to other venues other than those used currently. Can't see Hampshire or the others give up on their host income stream. Can anyone tell me if there are plans to play Hundred matches at a wider selection of venues? My "local" team is, I suppose, the Southern Brave. But they're based in Soton which leaves me (a) unable to watch and (b) entirely alienated. If there were a few matches at Hove in a season then we Sussex folk might have a bit more of a connection with them and with the competition as a whole.
Granted, I'm not their target audience because I'm not a gibbering idiot or a 4 year old.

With the Hundred now finished for 5 of the 8 franchises, will the following are available for their counties on Sunday? The hundred guys turning up when needed for Hampshire today
Depends on county policy. In previous years some counties have stuck with the players who played in the group phase. With the Hundred now finished for 5 of the 8 franchises, will the following are available for their counties on Sunday?
Somerset: Smeed, Dickson, Gregory, Overton, Abell, Kohler-Cadmore, Meredith
Yorkshire: Chohan, Thompson, Bairstow
Hampshire: Howell, Wood, Currie, Baker, Vince, Albert, Cartwright (Dawson played today)
Fuller also played having been released back earlier. With the Hundred now finished for 5 of the 8 franchises, will the following are available for their counties on Sunday?

Somerset have pulled in great crowds this tournament, it must have been the short notice. Would be inclined to keep the team much the same if I were one of the semi-finalists, of course some of the Hundred players would barely have played List A cricket (I don’t think Will Smeed for example has ever played in the Metro Bank, the younger players who have been brought up on the Hundred would be much the same), plus the lack of Hundred players in this has given a platform for players who weren’t necessarily first choice, like young Thomas Rew. I do want to see Sonny Baker play for Hampshire though (he’s one of the main reasons I’ve been following the Hundred this season, and after all, if he’s in the ODI squad to play South Africa, it might be useful for him to get some 50 over cricket under his belt, he hasn’t played any for a long time)Depends on county policy. On the debate around the scheduling of this competition, the crowd at Taunton was on the small side yesterday, especially considering that it was against Gloucestershire. The two day notice period must have played a role, though the weather forecast wasn’t great.
While the long gap between the group stage of the Blast and the knockout phase has been much criticised, I noted that Somerset had left a temporary stand up in anticipation of a big crowd next week.
Yep, he was part of that partnership with Ali Orr which effectively won the game for Hampshire yesterdayFuller also played having been released back earlier.
