Lions tour 2025

I really don't get the Aussie's trolling the Lions players over their ancestry, given them and the ABs have been scraping the Pacific for talent for years.

The ABs haven't.

It is more like the island nations have been scraping NZ for talent. Samoa and Tonga have their teams stacked with NZers.

No doubt, NZ will now be accused of poaching Fabian HOLLAND from (you guessed it) the Netherlands.

The Scots have probably been the 2nd worst (behind the Japanese) but all of the 7 main northern hemisphere teams are terrible poachers.

Argentina and SA have the fewest overseas born players (often 0).

I'd actually guess (without looking) yer Sweaties are worse than the Micks.

Maybe the Welsh too, actually. Half their squad seems to be born on the senior side of Offa's Dyke.

Ireland are just more judicious with their poaches.

Yeah, I thought about it and realised it would be Scotland and a quick Google check confirmed.

One really weird thing is that there is only one Saffa who has played for the ABs considering how many live here and how many play cricket (top level, provincial, club, schoolboy etc.)
Greg Rawlinson (lock) played a few games after coming here in his early 20s about 20 years ago. Andrew Mehrtens was born in SaffaLand but that was bcos his Kiwi parents were over there for a few years.

Going for the upset here and saying the Wallys will get it together in one of the tests. Lions though comfortably enough still win the series 2-1.
Hard to see them losing any of the three remaining lead up matches though. Maybe the Brumbies will push them but the Lions should be too strong.

Carn then Reds (Queensland, not the Lions).

Lions by 43+ tbh though. Strong XV. Reds XV not quite their best lineup tbh.

Funny to think that Aidan Ross was playing for the Chiefs in the Super final, and now he's playing for Queensland.

Not sure why Kalani is box kicking from 30m out...really hope it's not a directive of Kiss as the incumbent Wallabies coach
