England to host next 3 WTC finals

Makes sense. England is the only place guaranteed to be the neutral ground for the final.

I get it to host the WTC Final at Lords "the home of cricket" but why not in Melbourne where the first ever Test was played?

In fact the MCG held the first 3 tests, 4 of the first 5 and 6 of the first 10 Tests ever played

Whatever it takes!!!
I think it would make sense if the finals were a best of 3 series and you wanted the entire month of June for it, to play it in England. But surely a one off test which only needs like 10 days of the teams, can be played anywhere in the world at any time?

It's all about timing isn't it - couldn't have a Test in Melbourne/Wellington in mid June.

Just bring the WTC cycle forward by 3 months, problem solved

I think the perfect scenario to prove a real WTC winner would be the top 2 teams play 1 test home/away and then have the 3rd test decider (if needed) at Lords in June
