Ross Taylor likely to be shafted from the captaincy?

I feel so sorry for Taylor and Bond right now. I think Bond leaving as bowling coach would be almost as devastating as Taylor not being there as batsman, he seems to be doing such a good job guiding our young bowlers. Absolute madness nothing is being done about Hesson, have also lost all...

What about the McCullum decision in the last test? And if they wanted that McCullum LBW to be given then how about the Sehwag LBW to Southee's first ball? Looked pretty good to me.

Why is it every time the Indians appeal the finger goes up? Regardless of how blatantly not out it is.

Do the selectors admit they royally ****ed it up in selecting Nicol (seriously, how the hell did he get selected in the test team?) by dropping him for the 3rd test? I don't see how he could keep his spot, he's looked atrocious. Assuming he gets dropped it offers a bit of a selection problem...

I'd pick Gillespie solely on the ball that had the off pole cartwheeling. Yep that's right, one good ball and you're in. I reckon they'll go with Gillespie, given the fact they keep going on about taking 20 wickets, they probably see Gillespie as the most likely to get a bag full. Not really...

Why is Nicol opening a test match for New Zealand?

Does it bother anyone else that in the space of 15 minutes we can completely lose a game after being in a dominant position? I currently feel like being a Zimbabwe supporter would be less embarrassing.

One thing I don't get about cricket

If you've fielded in the slips (or played cricket at any relatively decent level) you'll know that not anyone can be a slips fieldsman, regardless of the "training" they get. It really is a skill in it's own, much like batting or bowling.

Women have gone off due to rain, which is good, watching that rubbish was painful. Rain radar doesn't look too bad though it looks bloody black out towards town, not looking particularly good.

Pretty doubtful whether there will be a game today. The weather has packed in, though as I say this the rain appears to have stopped in South-East Auckland and it's brightened up a bit...forecast doesn't look great though.

Bracewell should have been given the Man of the match

Bracewell should have got it, he single handedly changed the match and won it for NZ. Warner played a brilliant knock, but it was not a match winnings innings. The issue here is the ridiculous voting system channel 9 have for the MOTM. The general public shouldn't have any say in the outcome of...

Whats the point of having the technology when the third umpire doesn't use it? Surely ANY mark on the bat that is where the ball past (and theres no way it was pad, since the bat didn't hit the pad where the ball past) raises doubt making the decision not out. Ridiculous.
