  • Yeah I heard about the trade logic thing. Kinda like the coaches getting fired every week in 2K11 until the patch. I started a SF to begin, I suck so I'm getting realistic numbers. Only been a couple of strange trades so far involving Gino and Roy. Will probably make my trademark PF eventually. I hear online sucks so far.
Picked it up Saturday. Haven't played much on it though. I hear the post play this year is ridiculous. How about you?
Yeah, I'm not going anywhere either but as you say It's painful man. I've tried defending him for so.long, in the grand scheme of things we had been doing well for the last 6 years although we had nothing to show for if. I'd kill for that now, this season is just something else.

In the past it was a case of signing not taking us to the next level, this year we've weakened left, right and centre. Just gah. The only reason I was so grateful for Arteta and Santos was that before them we were genuinely ****ed. It's a bit of a mess.

It can't be allowed to just happen though, missing out on Europe means we rule ourselves out of any top players if we wanted to sign them and then from there its a ****ing tough battle to break back in.

Club obviously still has stature but 3 more years of this and god knows what state we will be in.

Who's your dream man to sort us out?
The problem is they stopped pandering to its true target audience. Vince's movie career became a backstory, when it was the "how does Hollywood work" aspect which was one of the coolest parts of the series. What was the most interesting story this season? Johnny Drama's TV show strike, because it involved the industry!

Haven't watched How to Make It In America. Worth a look?
Yeah, Cesc is irreplaceable and even though this season wasn't his finest there were games where the difference between him and some of the passengers in the team was just so obvious to see. Obviously not happy about him leaving, or the comments he made earlier this week, but still love the guy.
I did think originally that Na$ri might step up to the plate for real when Cesc went but over the last few weeks he's been a prize ****. Bloke will be a loss on the pitch imo but he can do one.

Would take Enrique from Newcastle as a Clichy replacement. Wish we'd had a look at Taiwo when he was available on a free but that's been and gone now. Not arguing with the Clichy deal, reckon we're doing ok there if the figure being reported is correct.

It's make or break though, Wenger's last year of contract isn't it?
I don't like how quiet it is. There seems to be an air of inevitability that players are leaving yet all the links of players coming in are pretty casual. Season starts in what? 6 weeks?
Don't see how we can afford to lose both Cesc and Nasri but I don't see how either of them can stay anymore.
    Just dunno.
Thought Denilson was guaranteed to be going. Denilson: I am leaving Arsenal - Telegraph
Would rather keep Arshavin than sick note. More amazing than the fact Rosicky actually made 34 appearances last season is the fact he managed to do absolutely nothing of note in them.
Feel sorry for NB52, probably the most naturally suited striker on our books to play up top on his own and is permanently wide right. There's some ability there but his future's not at the emirates. If he's as good as he says he is then he can't be fluffing his lines like he did at Camp Nou :(
Yeah, I don't disagree with that. Basically the person who replaces Wenger would have the task of what every Arsenal fan does when the play Football Manager, sell the dead wood and bring in a few world class players with the money. It's not rocket science but would improve the side immediately, the only thing is what happens after that?
We're not in a position to buy and buy, season after season and if we're selling all the 'young assets' then we suddenly have nothing to promote from within the club.
Where do we turn when the new manager has spent the money and when we stop winning? There's nobody out there who can guarantee the sort of long term (near) success that Wenger has..
It gets harder to defend him when every season feels like groundhog day and we continually make the same mistakes. It's just there's nobody out there that could do the job he's doing better than he's doing it.
Whether you think what he's doing is right or not is another thing entirely but a new manager could come in with a new philosophy and there's no guarantees.
Wenger's got the record behind him, season after season we're continually challenging for honours but then again it can't be coincidence that every single year it's a case of "so near but yet so far".
I really don't know, I just think we could do considerably worse than Wenger and what we have needs to be appreciated a bit more.
A change in manager hasn't worked for Chelsea really so would it for us?
I've never known Arsenal sans-Wenger which is why I'm apprehensive.
I miss your posts about Arsenal man, next week could be huge. Or you given up already? :(

Na na na na na na, I can't forget that tree
Never in my dreams would I expect India to win three consecutive knock-out matches against Australia, Pakistan and then Sri Lanka. Seriously great example of peaking at the right time!
Ah cool, I'm looking to go down a similar path as you really. Though I'm doing a law degree at the moment, I'm applying mainly for investment banking, risk management or analyst type positions with various banks etc... Failing to get something like that I'm thinking of doing a masters degree in corporate finance, so we'll see what happens. My current degree will be done by the middle of May though, so time is a tickin'.
