He's no where near the batting quality required for the top 6 for a 2nd XI world team.

Hammond and Kallis are more than good enough with the ball to assist.

That's simply untrue though. The user in question is one of the most stubborn one and hardly shifts his opinions.

Given the only spinner is Verity, who wasn't really a big turner but very accurate, think ABD is a Great choice to keep here.

Why are we picking so many part-time keepers?

Well they are all ATG or near ATG batsmen and bloody fine with the gloves.

The obsession on CW with picking batsmen who are part-time keepers has been something I've noticed during my time here. Not only in selections such as this but in drafts.
Truly great keepers such as Knott, Ames, Healy are all more than adequate batsmen and their glovework sets the standard for the rest of the field. Being "fine" doesn't equate to being an ATG keeper.

Sanga and Walcott made some sense because they were actually really good keepers who just decided to focus on batting, but de Villiers is another matter IMO.
