gotta say fair ****s to chris woakes at 36 years of age getting through five test matches on these horrendous anti cricket pitches. he's not been good but in a world of workload management that is some effort.
Heh, I assumed this was with the ball, but it's his batting average.Well, averages 97 in Tests
I guess similar to Anderson. If your job is to bowl early 80's and swing it, probably takes less toll than the 90mph bang it in boys. But it's still impressive given how so may others seem to be struggling. Looks like Siraj could do likewise for India.gotta say fair ****s to chris woakes at 36 years of age getting through five test matches on these horrendous anti cricket pitches. he's not been good but in a world of workload management that is some effort.
Not many all rounders can say their batting average is 24 higher than their bowling!!Heh, I assumed this was with the ball, but it's his batting average.
His bowling average is "only" 73.
Quite possibly, but seems as though India are going to have something pretty similar too.Is this the worst bowling attack england have fielded in, like, decades? Unless Atkinson is suddenly fully fit, woakes is the best bowler in this side and he's averaging 53 this summer with the ball.
It was a green top when Surrey put on over 800 last month.I think the pitch might be a green top
And Dom Bess took a 7ferIt was a green top when Surrey put on over 800 last month.
Honestly, is probs better than Bashir and Dawson still nowAnd Dom Bess took a 7fer
Johan gave you an easy one with Reigns I see... Disappointed in himHonestly, is probs better than Bashir and Dawson still now
I'm not sure what a game in Scarbados has to do with the Oval? And Dom Bess took a 7fer
My bad, I mixed up the Surrey games in my headI'm not sure what a game in Scarbados has to do with the Oval?
So an Oval green top = flat road?It was a green top when Surrey put on over 800 last month.
Not sure there's a huge difference between this current Dukes ball and the Kookaburra they are using tbh.So an Oval green top = flat road?
But that was with the Kookaburra ball.
Yup, I was expecting something of this kindHad to beg for mercy. Originally send me this monstrosity:

Very close- I just missed out on Overton for Carse! No way Archer plays to back up having looked knackered trying to bowl on a road all week this week. Carse was off colour in Manchester but I don’t think it was a pitch that helped him- if he’s genuinely fit I’d pick him, he’ll go okay at the Oval.
I think we should be very careful with Stokes and if we were brave enough to rest him, I’d go with
Crawley
Duckett
Pope
Root
Brook
Bethell
Smith
Atkinson
Woakes
Carse
Tongue
Long tail, 4 genuine seamers, two part time offies.
