Well, for in large majors, for the well being of this forum. I certainly have never been banned and the only infraction received still feel was very unfair, unlike your drop in the ocean that still managed to get banned.

I agree that the "biological instinct" line was out of place but think Johan has made his position pretty clear on that it wasn't meant to be offensive. Also like, not a single English poster took this thread in good humour. Not only Johan, but GIMH, Molehill, Silly point, even Line and Length!! (@Red_Ink_Squid too cool for this). I say we cut this one out for a week and may visit it post Series again??

If you could point me to any good humour in this thread I'd be happy to review it.

He just is having a hard time rn (don't know much and as much know him, won't like me sharing as much I know either) and look, I agree that that Post could be seen as offensive so can't blame especially since he refused to back down in typical Johan fashion...... Wish saw this a bit earlier. But none of the English posters took this thread in a lighthearted way, and that really was quite the shocker here.

I appreciate that, and hope he has whatever support he needs, but like I've said before this isn't a therapy forum; ultimately we have to think about everyone's experience on the forum, not just one individual's.

Iirc Atherton was setting up a declaration to go for a win in a series which was still (miraculously) live after Dean Headley’s heroics at Melbourne the week before. At least I think it was that tour

Didn't Atherton cop a lot of **** for that in the aftermath as well?

Yeah he did. Tbf though Hick absolutely meandered through the 80s and 90s in that knock against a background of England wanting to chase a win. I think Atherton absolutely did the right thing. It wasn’t as though he pulled the pin on him without giving the chance of getting to three figures

Honestly that news clears up a lot tbh; I was increasingly baffled by why his posting quality had just fallen off a cliff in the last two or three months.

Since joining in 2010, I have never received an infraction as far as I know. I only post **** in the heat of the moment only in response to **** or terrible trolling etc but I immediately retract or at least tone down my statement.

I generally don't post or just post things that others haven't said in the thread. If something is already covered, no need to post. Since I end up posting the alternative views more often than not, most people don't really agree to it, which is fine.
