Boycott

depends, strokeplay? Barry, defense? Geoffrey

Barry

Neither lol, Hobbs. But Boycott as I think he is less likely to get out playing something silly
Barry is clearly the better batsman, don't think there's much argument to that, so we obviously disagree.

Barry also had an excellent defence btw.

Hutton and Boycott together stagnates the batting and allows the bowlers to settle and the captain to stick to game plans. Makes life a bit more difficult for the guys to come, and even in partnerships.

Lol Kyear and I are actually agreeing a decent bit in this thread oddly enough.
And I was directly asked multiple times to answer questions on cricketers.

I didn't bring up the Barry chatter, and the other discussions were very much on topic.

But it's clear who I really need to start ignoring.

though Greenidge is still not even ahead of Gower, let alone Boycott, I don't know how I've let this nonsense Greenidge glaze pass.

I do think hyper defensive batting does have a net dampening effect on team spirit.

Yes surviving the new ball is important but lack of intent helps the opposition. One reason I am so critical of Kallis batting.
at best it's a tiebreaker, doesn't matter tho as Geoffrey beats Barry up, we don't need a tiebreaker.
