It’s not like no one has Greenidge over Boycott…I think most agree they’re very close

most agree Mark Ramprakash is a better batsman than Barry Richards

So now FC matters so much?
Literally everything Barry has, let me put it this way

Barry and Greenidge opened successfully for Hamphsire for years, and nobody thought Greenidge was better, stats back that up.

In the same seasons, Geoffrey averages more than Barry by a degree of 14 points.

Which is where we differ then... Also pretty funny considering Greenidge actually beat Boycott on CW, so it really can't be that mad, and I myself have Boycott over Greenidge, and also how much you hate Chanderpaul but have absolutely no issues with how Boycott batted.
Mate, genuine question, are you serious? I had an issue with how Chanderpaul refused to shield the tail and get the red inker while batting 5-6, Boycott opened and played at a similar pace as Hutton and Sutcliffe, and he did cover the tail, his literal job was covering the actual weaker batsmen that England had for middle order. It's not even comparable, if Chanderpaul opened and played at that pace in a difficult era against Dukes, I won't care.

Dude you JUST critiqued @kyear2 for saying that all he had to put Barry ahead was peer rep, and now you are using that to put Greenidge behind Barry?

And then you mocked the idea of using an FC career in place of an 'actual' test career. Yet now you bring all their FC stats out?

You are all over the place.

wrap it up guys, Les Jackson is a better bowler than James Anderson because Lindwall and Trueman said he was amazing, ignore their actual careers though

Ofcourse Not, Barry had superior numbers to Greenidge too in those times.

Like I've said since the very beginning, Boycott has both a superior FC career, a much longer FC career and a far more successful Test career, it's just a slam dunk on all ends.

Nah, as always, you just want to get in this chat, you actually don't have anything of worth to say

Between Barry and Boycott, who was the better batsman?

Which was more skilled and capable of more?

If the martians came tomorrow and you had to choose between either to open with, let's say Hutton (your guy), which are you choosing?

All three are separate questions btw.

Boycott

depends, strokeplay? Barry, defense? Geoffrey

Which was capable of more?
Barry

Neither lol, Hobbs. But Boycott as I think he is less likely to get out playing something silly

My thing is you clearly have thought about your selections so I respect that. But when you argue in comparisons I don't get a sense that you have hashed out your criteria, or maybe you perhaps have but it gets lost in translation or something.
