What a loser!Well, Smith won
What a loser!Well, Smith won
Why Marshall? More proven?Think their era adjusted average is similar but imo he also has a GOAT argument alongside Marshall, McGrath and Hadlee. Murali and Warne too if you wanna but eh, I don't.
Meh this team already has 3 Aussies from the same era. That would be a worse problem than 3 players from different teams if era was an issue.I would rather have Imran and McGrath mainly because of era variety but looking at it objectively Imran and Hadlee gives you an undeniable boost in the late order.
Btw I gave Kyear over a dozen examples where a super strong Aus 2000s side were bailed by their tail. And then if course SA 90s and India 2010s teams. He is wrong when he says that batting deep isn't an indicator of success.
Dude, have you read the thread.Wow so even though you admit it creates an less balanced pace attack you still won't select Imran. And to defend it you give the same stat ranking addict logic you are purportedly against.
That bias runs deep.
SC success mostly, I think I'm comfortable with Barnes>Hadlee I don't really rate latter's SC record. Why Marshall? More proven?
I understood you, and agreed. In Viv vs Smith, I truthfully don't really care who among them is in the XI, I am loving the contest. And you misunderstood my previous quote, I was thinking of reverting to Viv for fielding and record to pace, not the other way around. I had him in my XI till like a month ago as well.
That was because the tantrum being thrown around like how Viv shan't make the 2nd team et suchI understood you, and agreed.
Viv's record vs pace and his clear superiority in the cordon and outfield are easy reasons for me to have him above Smith.
Smith's career not being done is another.
I was referring to the other comment when you said you really want Smith to win now.
No it doesn't. Fk u bitc.Sounds familiar @sayon basak ?? And dude please, Viv's Great and all, but it's not like we are leaving Bradman or Sobers or Sachin. Think of Thala once, Lara got 2 votes and the other person's 2nd vote was Root!
Yeah, it's not like you are bothered as well.lol why does a few agreeing he shouldn't be voted for 2nd XI bother you
That was by one person. That was because the tantrum being thrown around like how Viv shan't make the 2nd team et such
Who do you prefer between Viv or Smith?Meh this team already has 3 Aussies from the same era. That would be a worse problem than 3 players from different teams if era was an issue.
With 3 players from the same era, you are basically just taking out an insurance policy against the era being soft. And it's a very expensive insurance policy when going with notably inferior players.
With 3 players from the same team, you also have the era issue, but with potentially more on top of it. Like the strength of the Aus top order demoralizing opposition, and #CheatingAussieUmpires. And without the upside of fielding a better player if none of this matters.
Ya, I saw those examples. You are preaching to the choir here
NcGrath played in a flatter era and was better in said conditions.No. Hadlees record in wins is almost unparalleled, he kept NZ unbeaten at home and a top tier side and he didn't have the benefit of scoreboard pressure
Not only that, McGrath vs Imran is now 5-3. McG will probably stand, but from 5-0 Imran fought back strong. And just like that, viv's level again
Nooooooooooo I had already planned out all the deals to strike and people to get to make sure he doesn't make the 2nd XI.And just like that, viv's level again
Tbf so isn't McGrath's to the best in his backyard and while his India record is Great, don't consider it ATG either.Hadlee's record in the backyards of the top 2 teams of the 1980s isn't ideal. Thats probably the only thing in his record.
