3rd Test (Lord’s) - 10 July to 14 July

We can't keep pretending that Zak Crawley is going to improve, can we? He is 27, has played fifty plus tests, and that 267 was in his EIGHTH test. His 189 against Australia was two Summers ago and only has the flat-track bully ton against Zimbabwe since. I don't blame him - he's a middling CC D2 level batter - but is he just going to be playing the next 5-6 years with these kinds of returns?

That's standard for an opening session where only pace is bowled. It's usually 12 so India got an extra over in, if anything. Should make up for it with spin later.
The ICC minimum requirement is 15. England lost a couple of wickets, which adds on 4 minutes to the available time. So we should have got through 29 overs. It's just become the norm that teams play the game so ****ing slowly, that 12 is normal.

As long as India have Jadeja, overrate will never be a worry.

Felt before the test that Root will come good this match since he hasn't done much so far. Proving the fears right so far.

Key ain't dropping his mates son before the end of the Ashes. He's made to score runs down there apparently.....

England might as well just start opening with Stokes. He isn't going to be dropped for failing so it's basically a free roll.

They'll keep him for the Ashes s record vs Aus is decent - averages 43 (though only 27 out here tbf).

Good to have the best bowler in the world in one team and the two best batsmen in the other. Really makes this the elite series in world cricket when you think about it
Makes you realize how bog average the other nine England blokes must be, given their results.

The ball getting stuck in the batters pad happened at the last Lord's test too, WTC final to David Bedingham.

India didn't appeal for a wicket there because, unlike Australia, we are not filthy cheats. Hope @Burgey was paying attention.
