You are right but we judge players based on their competitive edge they had in their generation. You also need to understand that older generation players did not have many advantages modern players have fitness trainings, diet etc. So we judge older players to modern players only based on their competitive edge. For example : How Bradman will play in modern game is debatable however, he had the intelligence and skill to outcompete players of his generation. It is their ability to outcompete players of their generation counts. May be with the training they give today Bradman might have done better in this generation so that is also a possibility we cannot ignore. Clive Lloyd scored a Century in the World Cup final against strong bowling lineup of Gary Gilmour and Dennis Lillee . He formed a West Indies side that can dominate the world for 2 decades. They have to change the Cricket rules to reduce the West Indies domination and no other leader made an effort to continue their success with changing cricket rules. Chanderpaul was a very good batsmen however, he did not give West Indies a path breaking contribution. So Clive Lloyd as Captain has to be given due credit and also a Batsmen who can score a good knock under pressure. We remember Alexander, Napoleon etc as Great Warriors due to their Competitive edge in their times we don’t compare them to present Army Soldiers or commanders who had the exposure to having better War Training. As a modern generation West Indian supporter I think players from the 70s and 80s get rated too highly against genuinely great modern players just because they won more.
Shiv was badass and held oblivion at bay for many years. To say it's not close is just disrespectful tbh.

Clive Lloyd is definitely under-rated in this forum. Not spoken about much at all.You are right but we judge players based on their competitive edge they had in their generation. I don’t like biased opinions which is a waste of time. Clive Lloyd scored a Century in 1975 World Cup final against Gary Gilmour, Jeff Thompson, Dennis Lillee 102 runs in 85 balls. He was very aggressive dominant person and it reflected in his team and led to them thrashing all countries for more than a decade.Clive Lloyd is definitely under-rated in this forum. Not spoken about much at all.
Your posts are overrated and your faceTwo extremely overrated West Indies batsmen. Greenidge clearly.
and so is your existence, therefore it would be logical for you to self destruct.Your posts are overrated and your face
