If Smith is to be deducted for flat wickets, surely we would take away all the runs Sachin made at home in 2000s too.
That's a poor argument though as Sachin's average at home in the 2000s is actually lower than his overall average

Bradman is of course number 1, and you can make an argument for being above Tendulkar for each of the following imo:
Hobbs, Lara, Smith, Viv, Hutton and Sobers
Bradman is 1

Hobbs is 2

that much is clear for me, You can argue for any of Hutton, Sachin, Viv, Sobers for number 3, all are practical equals and only seprated by personal preferences

Smith and Lara a little behind but exceptionally close to that tier.

skeptic lmao, I rate the man at #3, I hate him having the most illiterate and braindead fanbase of any Cricketer. "Cricket bdfore 1990 suck!" "2014 forward was flat!", "2020s bats can't bat!" and an endless list of stupidity.

"Smith being better is just not real!" as if a person who holds Akram over Ambrose has the right to talk about what's real and what's not
Are you talking about me or CM? I rate Akram below Ambrose.

Anyways back on topic Sachin is better than McGrath

Keep up with the conversation

And Nah, McGrath is better, bowler impact cancels longevity, and he's just plain better after that

So Smith is a tier below Tendulkar. Got it.

I feel Sachin will always be rated as #2 due to the run tally and also since there’s a lot of footage of him

Not on these forums but just by the majority of cricket fans
