how many runs are you comfortable with
500 in around 110 overs. Just enough so England still tries, as I feel anymore and they simply won't. Also don't want to give them more than 4 sessions, or there's a chance they might actually win.

Wonder if England will consider making Jamie Smith a specialist batter and bring in one of either Jordan Cox or James Rew as the keeper.
He is as equally talented as Brook is as a batsman.

Down the line maybe, but at the moment if anything they want to squeeze another batsman in (Bethell) so just enjoy the depth that having Smith as keeper brings.

I’d probably do Bumrah for Krishna and Yadav for Reddy. I’m not sure what to do with Sundar. Almost worth it to get dedicated batter in there instead. But he has done well. Don’t need three spin options though. I guess if you back Reddy to come good with bat, that would be better and you can sub Yadav for Sundar which would provide you with a pop off fourth seam option if needed.

Englands bowlers looking very tired at the end, Woakes looked like an old man, Carse is worried about losing his toes, Stokes is losing his mind. If they were allowed to speak honestly i bet the england bowlers hope it rains for 2 days, rather than have the shubman & co put them to the slaughter for another 70 overs. That 6 of our batters made 0, doesnt bode well for chasing any target. And Siraj & Akash took 8 wkts with the new ball while our combo only got 2.

So this is what we are supposed to be afraid of when England come to Australia at the end of the year!?

A bloke who averaged 18.6 across his 3 tests down here last summer and got dropped along the way is now averaging 141.33 against England's pop gun attack. At the same time, England are racking up 6 ducks on a road against India's cavalcade of part-timers and second stringers.

The biggest problem England has is that the kind of wickets they have to order to allow their batsmen to score runs allow the opposition to do the same when they have a couple of decent bats of their own.

Please. Spare me. We're shaking in our boots...

India will look to bat about 70ish overs on day 4 and look to score 300 more runs.

Aim to set 550 runs in 100-105 overs.
Have a 10-15 over crack end of day 4.

India will NOT give England anymore overs than that. Required rate will definitely be more than 5 RPO. Closer to 5.5 or even 6. They will entice England to play more aggressively. By the way, England can comfortably score close to 5 RPO. They did that last time, chased 378 for loss of just 3 wickets in only 75 overs. So perfectly capable of getting 450 to 500 in a day on a highway of a pitch, when things go their way.
