Even then, my point still stands. The gulf in batting is just too much to overcome unfortunately. Was going to say this.
We're just behind Australia and South Africa really.

And the catching has caught up.Even then, my point still stands. The gulf in batting is just too much to overcome unfortunately.
The gap between the top 2 (Aus, SA) and the rest is significant. Was going to say this.

wi's attack is significantly better than that of englandThe gap between the top 2 (Aus, SA) and the rest is significant.
3rd is NZ
4th Eng/WI
6th Ind
He only needed 1 game to get his mojo back.I think because Josh is a quiet lad people mistake it for weakness cause since 2023 Hazlewood has taken 71 wickets in 16 tests @18.99 , Cummins in the same period has 94 wickets in 23 tests @24.05
Josh Hazlewood should not be under any pressure at all , he's consistent across all formats really , one or two bad games happens to everyone
How are NZ 3rd when they lost to England at home last time they played test cricket? The gap between the top 2 (Aus, SA) and the rest is significant.

We played Southee who wasn't in our top 15 bowlers. Also look how NZ bowled in India vs how England bowled. How are NZ 3rd when they lost to England at home last time they played test cricket?
Question marks over his selection have nothing to do with his quality as a bowlerI think because Josh is a quiet lad people mistake it for weakness cause since 2023 Hazlewood has taken 71 wickets in 16 tests @18.99 , Cummins in the same period has 94 wickets in 23 tests @24.05

Outperformed them to a massive draw and lost the series?*2021 England is outperforming West Indies on this pitch for reference, no need for Bazball
But a fully fit Bumrah and Shami should propel India to at least #3 imo.England better than NZ current attack
As Bumrah mostly half fit these days India will continue to be low in the rankings for a while.
#1 saf
#2 Aus
#3 eng
#4 wi
#5 NZ
#6 Ind
All true but wi batting is at its weakest atm. Id bk England to win a series atm in WI.Outperformed them to a massive draw and lost the series?
You haven't beaten WI in WI since 2003...
Shami is finished at test level. So Indian attack will remain ordinary for quite some time. But a fully fit Bumrah and Shami should propel India to at least #3 imo.
Nah it was 2 evenly matched teams separated by racist umpiresGood win for Australia. Dunno how much they were pressed with the 3rd umpire decisions favoring them so much, but Windies also dropped so many catches and Australia, I guess, won on account of being the team that made the fewer errors. Which is fine as a lot of teams win that way too.
They still need to work out their batting lineup though.
Smh Coco, I'm saying 2021 England had better batting than this lineupOutperformed them to a massive draw and lost the series?
You haven't beaten WI in WI since 2003...
i think that pound for pound that windies attack is betterEngland when they have all their pacers fit are probably ahead of WI.

Hazelwood wasn't very quiet when he mouthed off at the umpires when he didn't get Williamson LBW at Christchurch in 2016.I think because Josh is a quiet lad people mistake it for weakness cause since 2023 Hazlewood has taken 71 wickets in 16 tests @18.99 , Cummins in the same period has 94 wickets in 23 tests @24.05
