Rain saved you from 3-2 defeats in both and you still cling to this nonsense.

Jesus I come into this thread to see what people are saying about the cracking game unfolding and it’s all about England. OBSESSED
I didn't start this m8, I was simply obliged to post a correction

And as for the umpiring, yeesh. Don't have any time for the cries of bias (especially alledging anything racial, those really are not the sort of accusations to be thrown around lightly), but what is clear is that what was seen from the 3rd umpire especially is well short of the standard that is needed in Test cricket
I get why people are peeved, but 99.99% of the time when umpiring decisions don't go your way (and the decisions are wrong) it's incompetence, not bias.

Holdstock shouldn't be 3rd umpire, but let's not be calling him racist against West Indians. Arguing that he's pro-Australia when he's not even Australian is....not good. (yes I realise some Australians have said similar things about Joel, and they're wrong too)

Very rarely do we see such blatantly abysmal umpiring, with multiple howlers. I think Mr. Adrian Holdstock has some sort of a racial bias against the West Indies. Pretty much in line with bygone eras where umpires would often favor white cricket teams (Steve Bucknor, Darrell Hair, and Mark Benson, I'm looking at you three). I thought we would see the end to them with how much technology has changed. Guess not.

That said, who has been spreading the disease of dropped catches worldwide these days? For all the talk of the T20 era seeing an improvement in fielding, I am not seeing much sign of it recently. Catches win matches, after all.
You know I sometimes hope CW gets a legal letter when it lets grubby trash like this stand. I haven't seen the game and it appears the umpiring is less than stellar giving posters an opportunity to vent their prejudices under the cover of criticising umpiring standards.

Shamar let's out a scream as soon as it is edged, but before it is caught. Maybe he makes the slip catcher x percent more tense?

Or maybe they just can't catch.

There's news coming out now (the original source is linked above and quoted) about a current WI cricketer being accused of several counts of rape and SA.

The Law Offices of Hughes, Fields and Stoby has been recruited to represent a young woman from Berbice who has accused a well-known Guyanese and West Indies cricketer of rape, a senior lawyer at the firm disclosed yesterday.
