Sure, but in the laws of the game and such like they’re moving towards batter to be inclusive, so it’ll just become the term

And anyway. Not like we have bowlmen, wicket keepmen, and fieldsmen is hardly ever used

Nothing gets me to take the bins out more than the endings of test matches

Alternatively, one doesn't want to be responsible for a wicket by briefly abandoning the match.
