Roy Gilchrist’s attitude makes him a huge problem. The guy relished bowling beamers and hurting batsmen.

I'd put Patterson here as well.

these three have the most inconsistent actions. Others have repeatable very smooth actions. That means they are in control of their pace. But specially first two has flaws in their action. But when they get it right in that odd delivery, it's going to be noticeably faster than the rest. Even they don't know what it is, so batsmen will not. Other bowlers, good batsmen sometimes can identify effort balls. For croft, Malcolm and Patterson, everyball is an effort ball, and some comes out good, and they take out the unsuspecting batsmen.
