Did Tendulkar really have consistency on the bouncier and seamier Australian wickets outside of Sydney?
He really only had a single relatively poor Series in Australia, and by then he was finished. In the rest (92, 99, 07; 03 was a road) he scored more or less consistently all around.

Lara had two outright poor series in 1996 and 2001.

Anyways my ranking of Tendulkar Lara tons in Aus:
Tendulkar Perth 92 - ATG knock, teen miracle
Lara Perth 97 - ATG knock, horrible pitch
Tendulkar Melbourne 99 - Awesome solo effort against ATG attack and not easy conditions when the rest of the lineup seems clueless
Lara Adelaide 2005 - First day bombast, just awesome late career knock
Lara Sydney 1993 - Finest display of shots I have ever seen, first ton for Lara
Tendulkar Sydney 1992 - Teen exceptionalism
Tendulkar Sydney 2003 - Offside technical mastery albeit on flat track
Lara Adelaide 2001 - Great solo effort though not quite as awesome as typical Lara knocks
Tendulkars tons in 2007/8 -Great attack but somewhat batting friendly conditions

Good list, I'd just have Lara's 05 ton a few spots below but it was a great knock nonetheless

Tendulkar's 07/08 tons >>> Sydney double imo.
They are all flat track knocks but I give more credit for Tendulkars display of patience in getting out of bad form.

By the way, I am almost tempted to rate Tendulkars 99 ton over the Lara 97 knock. The latter loses some points for being a dead rubber test so I think the Aussies weren't really putting in 100 percent.

The 99 knock is amazing in context, overcast conditions and and an Aussie attack that was firing on all cylinders. Tendulkar scored 116 out of 178 runs at the crease.

The adelaide ton in 07/08 was high quality. IIRC he had a big partnership with kumble to pull india out of a pretty troublesome situation. Lee and Clark formed a great duo too, it was the only phase in Lee's career where he was a world class bowler.

Sydney double ton in 04 was much softer imo. Don't rate it that highly.

The Sydney innings isn't really rated for tough conditions/oppositions really, but moreso self control and technical brilliance in a pretty downer phase.

Discussions on Sachin’s record are amusing. In one thread, the argument is he has a statistical advantage in achieving a higher and consistent average due to having a longer career and larger sample size than his peers. In another, the argument is he has an advantage because he played less innings that protected his true (lower) performance.
