Tendulkar only got out to Mcgrath twice in Australia in tests. One was the infamous shoulder before wicket in Adelaide and the other was the dodgy lbw in Sydney. From memory, he played Mcgrath very comfortably in that series and didn't look like getting out. Based on this evidence it is hard to conclude that he struggled against Mcgrath.

In ODIs, Mcgrath had the upper hand though.

Tendulkar was a bit constrained vs McGrath in 2001 series would consider it a draw.

Do we know what race most here are, and as such should try to avoid anything that would bear any racial connotations and try to be sensitive to same.

Just avoid the tropes. Period.

Not that hard.
Umm, saying that one has the IQ of a chimpanzee doesn't indicate anything racial imo. Swap Chimpanzee with Cow, the essence of the statement remains the same.

To you.

But people have differing perceptions, and it's best to avoid certain references.

And while it can be perceived as being the same, it isn't. And the former was what was used.

So whether or not ORS intended it that way, I would imagine not. He can't dictate how it is received and and it's best to avoid some comparisons.

But as humans we prefer to defend when it's easier to clarify and apologize.

This is the last thing I'll say. He didn't call him a chimp, he just said that he has the IQ of a chimp. So basically, he called him stupid, which is not racist at all.

And sure, people can interpret things however they want, but if it weren't meant that way, it's probably the interpreters fault that he interpreted it racially.

Not saying you did, but that's not how it works.

Not here, not in society, not anywhere.

There are certain references that should just best be avoided, some which have been discussed here ad nauseum, (especially with relation to some of Sunny's comments that's been defended here by more than one person) so I don't know why they would even be used.

Lmao imagine actually taking an imbecile like akilana seriously. This kyear dude is a bigger joke than I thought.
There's a difference between someone's views and how they've perceived a slight.

And instead of just acknowledging that you've gone too far and it wasn't intended, you'll double down.

You're better than that.
