Shoutout to Maharaj. Will end up as SA’s 2nd greatest spinner - if he’s not there already. Also if SA win I’m perfectly happy to call Bavuma the greatest test captain of all time.

He already is on statistics and gone past Tayfield on wickets.

I reckon our best finger-spinners post WWII have been Tayfield, Kourie, Maharaj and Harmer.

SA are well and truly on the upward curve in test cricket but this has come probably a bit too soon. Saying that, these players just need game time. Particularly our batsmen. The talent is there.

Why did they pick the same squad for WTC Final and 3 Test tour of West indies. Totally different conditions. Obviously Kuhnemann is only in for Windies while for WTC Marcus Harris and Fergus O'Neil could have been good shouts for recent experience around the squad at least (latter better than Doggett as travelling reserve) Other than his first innings back where he had to retire hurt with cramps, Green has done absolutely nothing to justify his return btw

Conditions might be different but the same Duke balls will be used.

Rumors that CSA have been "nicely " asked by SA20 owners that the SA players need to stay till the end of the ipl.

CSA should ask those clowns to go **** them selves. Nicely of course

I was impressed when I heard that the SA boys are returning early from hit and giggle cricket to properly acclimatise to the conditions. Shame the aust guys are too hungry for money to do the same

This opening spot is becoming an issue?

I guess you can get away with Marnus or Inglis for one game opening but is it really worth it over investing in Konstas?

I'd stick with Konstas for sure. The problem with Marnus opening is that you would have to push Smith to 3 that I don't like

I'd give the wtc final for Konstas and expect very little. Who knows if he can take on Rabada the same way he took Bumrah on and a start like that would go a long way in setting up a game which is likely to be played on a helpful wicket atleast for the first 2 days

Starceh has decided against it. Good on him. Captain planet on the other hand
Odd from Cummins as his team are near bottom of the table and won't progress to the knockout stages and obviously Head also their.
A lot of the lads leaving early are going to miss knock out matches so credit for them prioritizing this when they would have been under pressure to stay.
