I don't get the Sai hype though, wouldn't India just prefer to pick people ahead of him who've played Tests?

I see it like this:
Jaiswal
KL/Gill for the other opener and No. 3
Pant/Sarfaraz/Jurel/either someone returning like Shreyas or debut bat like Sai for 4-6
Jadeja
Kuldeep/4th pacer between Prasidh/AkashDeep/Harshit
Bumrah/Shami/Siraj

If Reddy/Jadeja can do the 4th bowler role then yes, don't want Bumrah to get overstretched
Jadeja should be in your 4 bowlers. Reddy is fine as 5th. But sadly Bumrah will get overstretched if others are **** (which won't solve with 10 bowlers) and the captain turns to him every time he faces any inconvenience. Bumrah should had been the captain, he manages himself quite well.

But is jadeja in your 4 bowlers in England? Shardul can do a good job being a 4th pacer while contributing with the bat too imo

Need to watch him bat to understand the hype in this case, his FC numbers don't pop. But the way he's batting currently, it'd be a crime if he doesn't play in England

Given how inexperienced and frankly mid this batting is, I would prefer an extra bat there. If Shardul plays it's for Reddy.

He's still got a few people ahead of him to be fair. I don't think he's the player who can jump ahead that easily.

Reddy was not fine as the 5th option, come on. He barely bowled over the BGT.
There were 6 bowlers in BGT. Everyone bar Siraj at times weren't fine. Reddy I think will work fine in England. If he can't be a 5th option, there aren't enough reasons to field him ahead of say Paddikal or Sarfaraz or Easwaran.

Reddy wasn't doing well even there, and he played as the 5th bowler all the time there. He's one of the main reasons why Bumrah got injured in the end and why India couldn't get more favourable results in the series.

I think blaming him for Bumrah's injury is a bit too much..... Especially giving how Great Akashdeep, Rana, Washington and Jadeja were. Bottomline, if he can't be a 5th bowler, we have little use for him.

Whatever it takes!!!
I have not commented on their retirements elsewhere as I am busy between work related travel and work stuff, some shitty personal news AND the threat of the war.

Rohit was a very good test match batsman who finally found his calling as an opener and did better than anyone would have expected, especially overseas. He was also a very good leader within the team who was unfortunately way out of his depth as an on-field captain. But his legacy will always be how he played the game in his own way, his excellence as a leader of men and how many times he defied expectations. Very much an Indian Inzy which is what he looked like when he started.

Virat never quite ended up achieving the greatness that I feel he had in him. I would still rate him an ATG cricketer and a great test match batsman. His legacy as India's greatest red ball captain is also secure and I think at the end of the day, he did end up being an Indian Ponting overall. I wish he did better post covid as a batsman but he gave it his all, was always there for the team and put test cricket first in so many minds in India. Those are timeless contributions to the game itself and in that sense, he is one of the greatest of all time to have played the game, based on the sheer eyeballs he got to the game and how he ensured test cricket retained its primacy at least for him and thus, for so many of his fans.

We will miss them both and wish them a wonderful time as retired cricketers. Hopefully they remain good enough to play the ODI WC and win it this time.
