Yeah it's a mix of both T20 and test cricket with room for both types of batsmen and bowlers, it's still a good format despite people saying it's obsolete. And that's part of the beauty of the format

But then some teams ignore that formula and lose every match. And that's part of the beauty of the format
I'm loving his field placements too.Like the tactics here , economical with Bracewell and looking for wickets with O'Rourke ..Santner captains well
I think ODI cricket is the most important format for running between the wickets.Yeah it's a mix of both T20 and test cricket with room for both types of batsmen and bowlers, it's still a good format despite people saying it's obsolete.
Often the more memorable ODIs have tended to be closer to tests (or at least have given the bowlers a real say), but the people who matter want them to be more like T20s. Unfortunately that is unlikely to change.Yeah it's a mix of both T20 and test cricket with room for both types of batsmen and bowlers, it's still a good format despite people saying it's obsolete.
I've always found that the beauty of ODI cricket is that you can be in a bad position, but there's enough time to get out of that position if you are skillful enough, it allows you to absorb good bowling and release it back .Often the more memorable ODIs have tended to be closer to tests (or at least have given the bowlers a real say), but the people who matter want them to be more like T20s. Dean Jones raised the running between wickets standards in ODIs, he turned ones into twos that the likes of Jonty Rhodes and Phillips have followed.I think ODI cricket is the most important format for running between the wickets.
He turned the one's into 2's because he did 2 things better than any other ODI batsman.Dean Jones raised the running between wickets standard in ODIs, he turned ones into twos that the likes of Jonty Rhodes and Phillips have followed.
He was also the first guy to wear sunglasses in an ODI match, an ODI revolutionary in more ways than one.
Some of the design choices fr this tournament have been "interesting"Things that irrationally annoy me:
On the comparison worm graph, why would you use green for NZ and a dark blue for SA?
Williamson-esqueRacks up the 50 now.
Credit where credit is due... Since he was 3 off 17 he's now scored 47 off 47...
Run a ball.
Yes, a format that's worked fine for decades suddenly needs changing? Mind you, still better than The Hundred!!Some of the design choices fr this tournament have been "interesting"
My biggest gripe is having the two batting innings side by side at the top and the bowling innings underneath. For some reason, it doesn't read right to me as opposed to the bowling innings next to the batting innings on the horizontal.
