ODI Batting Poll - Discussions

As with the Test polls, I have set up a thread for discussing poll voting and the merit of individual players.

The first round of voting went smoothly, with the first 3 voted in well ahead of others in contention. I'm sure, as we continue, there might be more contentious issues.

I was surprised to find that Michael Bevan's strike rate was so much lower than the others voted in to this stage. He was excellent when it came to guiding his team home t in the latter stages of games and, no doubt, it was this skill that highlights his ODI career.

His adjusted SR should be higher, close to 85 imo.

These ones are always funny
Truu..loll.. Don't really understand why the X factor calculation works this way, why do you have extra points specifically for the opening position. Although, I do like that it includes more than just avg and SR. A bit of importance on longevity here and performances in Wcs should be given priority, which was nice to see.

Still better than bowler's one, Vaas came 7th...... Though genuinely surprised with Ganguly over Rohit, especially since both opens. Gilly at 5 is also a big no no personally.

Ganguly is only beating him because of the accumulation factor and performances in cups (CT performance probably had a lot to do with that).
Since this was done in 2020, I'm pretty sure Rohit would be higher up on the table. Even Kohli might have overtaken Sachin or got very close.
