Sehwag vs Anderson

Who was the better cricketer?

I’m going to withhold my opinion. Two condition dependent players, Sehwag achieved arguably greater heights. Anderson has longevity which I value more than most.

Yeah agree. Ashwin's batting gives him the edge.
Sehwag actually had as much ability with the ball as Ashwin does with the bat IMO, but the nature of batting being much more compulsory than bowling in cricket made it ultimately less useful to his team than Ashwin's batting, and he let it fall away.

I'll throw it out there that in a worse team - or particularly a team with worse or fewer frontline spin options - he'd have bowled a lot more. I could totally see him being used as a #6 and regular fifth bowler for a team like Aus or RSA.

I've pretty much lost all memory of Sehwag bowling in tests but it's funny that he showed Harbhajan how it's done.
