This thrashing is good in a way, the build up to the final would have gone super cheesy and annoying had India faced Pakistan in finals.

Just reemphasises the high variability of T20 and how a couple of things going right on the day can be decisive imo. Any of the top six teams can beat the others any day and you wouldn't make one of those teams more than a 60-65% favourite against another.

And yeah this match has been a clone of the first semi.

imo NZ had a better chance of beating Pak in their semi than India had here. India weren't even the best team in our group stage - Pak dominated for most of that much and SA smashed them. It just took them both ****ing up/choking to ensure India got it. They struggled to put Bangladesh away.

Making the Semi Finals for India is more of an overachievement than it was for NZ. England are comfortably the best side in this tournament. The result of both semis reflect this.
