Well let's be honest, how do you know they wouldn't have left the crease if the bowler pretended to bowl it and waited for them which has been what happened in most of the recent mankad controversies
The most recent one was the women’s game. Whatsherface kept leaving the crease early nearly every single ball before she was Mankaded. So no…it’s not the same.

There’s a whole thread by that guy and even compares the Pakistani batsmen (some of whom left very early).

Whatever it takes!!!
Well, yeah. Look back at games last year.

After all the hoohaa, as if they weren't gonna make a point of it. Look back through time. Or address it again next year when the latest furore has died down.
You do realize he says he has been studying the Indian games for a while, right?

Its been brought up about Kohli from previous games before all the farce too. He doesn’t get Mankaded cos he generally removes the chance of it, by not acting like an idiot and going 5 steps ahead at the point of release.

Oh yeah bro I am well aware and I didn't say it's the same at all, you're extrapolating. I was literally just saying, well, what I actually said. That technically if you did the same thing with the actual mankads it would show a similar picture.

I wasn't trying to make a suggestion that they're the same, or that India were cheating. That sort of effort would be unecessary with Ashwin blatantly claiming bounced catches without a moments hesitation

Generally, the bowler running the non-striker out doesn't happen because of how it's perceived. But if Kohli stays in his crease when backing up, good for him. It reduces the possibility of being runout even further...

Mankads that have happened recently have all occurred after the batsmen have been consistently stealing ground during an innings though

Kohli has been pretty judicious about staying in the crease these days though at the non-striker’s end

It’s only at the striker’s end where he keeps meandering off all the time
So if a bowler interrupted his run up to throw the ball at the striker's end stumps, trying to effect a run out, what would that be?
