Steve was more of a bastard on the field but he's certainly gone on to a less egotistical and self serving post cricket career.

Nah, he has done it all series, even when he was making big runs in the LO games, and when he was not scoring many runs. Guess there are enough moving parts to the way he bats that it could swing back around to normal, but I feel these seem more age related. A bit like Lara in his latter days, will score big when he gets in but may just present more opportunities to be dismissed before he gets in than he used to, at his best.
Youre just hoping he’s going to regress to Kohli levels so it’s all debatable. But he won’t and it isn’t.

"Educated edge"? What kind of ganja are these guys smoking. It's called "guiding it down to third man".
The opposite of this is when Tendulkar would often edge one down to third man and would open the face of the bat well after the ball had already taken the edge and commentators would jizz all over the microphones calling him a genius. The **** used to do it all the time, like atleast once a game.

The difference between the two men is this

At a house party, Mark is one asking the owner about what wax he used on his deck for the whole time while suggesting his deck needs improvement and that wood shouldn't be allowed as a construction material of decks.

Steve is the one in a depressed state of drunkenness in corner telling people about the time he was on the Indianapolis or some **** and telling the kids about how back in his day you didn't have s*x until marriage, and then you only have it once before your happiness is over.

Who was the guy here years ago who kept insisting that Smith would get found out imminently but it never happened? Was that MrMiyagi or someone else?

Also haven't heard the "Smith's technique is more dependant on having a good eye than others" rubbish much lately

Lmao Warne reckons Ishant doesn't stroll back into this side, says Saini and Yadav and even Tyagi are good enough.
