Call it reparationStolen from cricinfo, but once again Rashid takes a wicket with the last ball of his spell.
For people on cricinfo pinching a couple of lines from CW? I'll take that.Call it reparation
You're going by a scorecard. If you watched, it was Archer's spell that turned the game. Deserved IMO.Woakes got both set batsmen Finch and Labuschagne out plus Maxwell and 3-32. And got 26 runs. Yet Archer takes MOTM with 3-34. Archer bowled great but Woakes should have got MOTM.
No I’m not. Woakes was taking wickets at the other end triggering the collapse with Archer and got both key wickets. I watched the entire game kid. Woakes’s 3 quick wickets plus Archer’s wicket at the other end changed the game. Australia were 144-2 and Woakes took 3rd, 5th and 6th wickets. You're going by a scorecard. Statistically Vic Marks is probably England's best ODI spinner. He is our best ever one day spinner (not that he has much competition) but I don't get the reasoning behind the calls for a return to the test side when he doesn't play first class cricket. He was probably unlucky to be dropped but after being dropped has hardly played a game since so how can he have improved?
Sorry kid. You're wrong kid. Archer both hurt them at the top and then came back and blew the game open. Kid.No I’m not. This just comes down to Archer fanboying when Woakes deserved it weighing up the facts.
LolGreat review
Becoming apparent very quickly that England’s WC win last year was a deadset fluke. Very lucky to get away with a tied final against the plucky but just serviceable Kiwis and now at home here against a mob which hasn’t played for six months they look woeful. Any sort of sideways and they bat as well as Australia in India.
Yeah scraping in against a side that hasn't played for 6+ months while playing at home on the back of a full season's prep is the sign of an outfit screaming along on eight cylinders.
