The team of players left out is going to end up being a quality team. I feel like so far that England was the least controversial - it shows how stable they've been in one dayers for a while now.

Looking forward to the Windies squad, could be a few surprises.

I don't think South Africa's squad was particularly controversial. The squad was what we all expected, and while there was perhaps a suggestion that Hashim Amla wouldn't be chosen due to lack of recent form and not being the player he once was, it's not like his potential replacement (Reeza Hendricks) had done enough to secure his place.

SL's pace bowling looks horrendously weak, Pradeep has a poor record and Udana barely has one. No Dickwella is crazy on the batting front, and I wonder what convinced them to dredge up Jeevan Mendis?

After watching the SA series, it is clear that Udana is being picked as the side's premier batsman.

I'm pretty pleased with it. I would have had Paul in for Carlos and Cornwall for Nurse. But by recent standards it's a decent squad.

Great power in the batting and lots of good pace bowling. Awful spin options though and I'm worried about strike rotation. Fingers crossed we are competitive.
