Kane Williamson's two hundreds against SA is also a good shout for best series batting, though admittedly I didn't watch a single ball of that series.

The best test series was certainly India v Australia. Controversies aside, I really enjoyed that one. Bangalore might have been the pick but they were all great tests.

If you're meaning only matches involving India and Australia, then I think you've probably covered it nicely there.

I think the award for dampest squib of a series would go to the Ashes. Went pretty much exactly how most people thought it would, and the nature of the pitches meant the cricket wasn't particularly entertaining for the most part.

plus no one really cared, which is pretty much what I expected

India/SA is more deserving of it's own subforum if truth be told.

if enough people were interested, someone would have started it.

Very similar series really. Going pretty much exactly as everyone thought it would - India would have its moments, but ultimately get bent over when the ball bounces above waist height.

Not really. I was eagerly following it for the first 2 tests, but then my interest dwindled.

We probably need more than 3 regular South African posters on here to warrant the India/South Africa series having it's own sub-forum.

Shai Hope's twin tons were so inspiring and emotional for me. Pity he hasn't done much since. I remember thinking 'windies are back baby!' watching that 4th innings chase

SOK's 12 fer was also a fleeting moment of happiness. I love the bloke and thought he'd just announced to the world he was the next big thing. Then Gary goes and gets that title instead lol

and Smith just in the Ashes gone by. I've never watched a batsman just look so unlikely to get out. I know India had tougher decks and he performed awesomely there too but some of the innings in this series my god

His ton at Dharamshala was one of the most dominating innings I've ever seen, not in terms of scoring rate but simply how he looked like he'd ascended to a different plane of batting. I think when he got to barely around 20, the match thread had 4-5 comments in a row saying there was no way Smith wasn't getting a huge ton. Looked utterly in control.

It's what BW said, we have an Aussie ethnocentric bias on the forum.

I expect him, as a staff member, to petition for a sub-forum for all India and Pakistan tours from now on.

Tbf in this innings it's because the ball is bouncing below waist height.
